It doesn't look like professional) *Clerk can't keep promises(signed up for free trial on Friday come back on Monday and tells me trial is over when we both agreed it was ending Wednesday) *Parents jumping into the mat and teaching the kids (This is a big one for me, I have never been to a martial art dojo were parents are teaching Jiujitsu moves or creating agility training. I'm not exaggerating, this instructor was explaining a move and the mom jumped to the mat to correct one of the kids, she wasn't even fit. Then this dad jumped in to make up drills for the kids lmao. Why would anyone pay for a nobody to teach me son when I can just wrestle with him and learn in YouTube) *Instructors(to be honest they looked like they hated their job, not engaging and monotonous tone of voice) I understand this a family businesses but you can't called yourself an MMA gym with the cons listed above

My other son has competed in some pretty big tournaments. Overall don't think on it, do it. The professors here are great, the kids have their favorites but even so they enjoy every class. Get your children in jiu-jistu, you can thank me later. I'm going to comment on the other person that made a whole review on their first visit. There are actual professors teaching. Most compete themselves. Also yes there are adult volunteers kinda like a teachers assistant. Or other teens that have time being there and they ask to help out. If you call them before just showing up, someone will be there waiting for you. They will explain everything. They will give you the 411, and how it works. This only applies for your first time. And also it's NOT a scam, yes there are promotions. They promote according to age and or experience. If the child is learning they will get promoted. Yes you will have to pay for the new belt. And yes your contract renews depending on what you signed up for. It's your job to cancel if you don't want to continue. They are also a vendor with some homeschool charters. You can use your certificates here. Your child will not stay a white belt forever.

Sifu is certified in various styles even with a 6th degree in jui jitsu and has judged in the UFC. Currently the schedule is not finalized but the draft for the schedule is in place. Circuit training will likely be on Fridays. There is good cardio work in his Muay Thai classes as well. He also has a kali class which is teaching stick fighting. Right now adult classes start at 5pm. Kids would be 4pm. There are morning classes scheduled for given days. Schedule may change seeing the school just opened and he will adjust it according to the students. Classes right now are $80/month for 3-4 classes a week. The classes are typically an hour long each. It's a really good deal. He teaches himself. He doesnt have an assistant teaching his classes which seems to be common for other schools in town...

Even now he talks about continuing his karate education till he becomes a teacher himself. And my other boy has benefited so much more than I could have ever imagined. His first day he was so scared he was crying and wouldn't let go of my arm. Sensei Rosandich pull him in and let him go at his own pace every time he came in to where now I drop him off and he loves it. I know this because now he tells me "go enjoy your free time mom, I'll see you in an hour" His confidence has grown leaps and bounds! Then there's the non physical lessons Sensei Carter teaches, like how important it is to listen to your parents and all elders. Somehow I feel this lesson is not being taught enough around the US. And other wonderful character traits UNITED STUDIOS OF SELF DEFENSE teaches their students like, respect, self control, humility, patience and keeping a positive and optimistic attitude. We have been coming here for almost a year now and my only regret is we didn't start coming here sooner! Oh and can't forget the fact that they are set up for lessons on zoom too. I have gone on vacation to Florida and zoomed into classes and lessons without any problems. This place is epic! If you ever wanted to learn martial arts this is a great place to come. Friendly, fun, respectful teachers that care deeply for their students. As for adults the classes are great! Once you sign up for the private lessons you learn so much and if you practice you can actually retain it and be able to defend yourself against many people. Have any questions? come on in and ask they are always happy to help and teach all open minds.
