Dr. Stephen Grodinsky Is the one of the best children's doctors in Ottawa. I have 7 children and 5 of them were treated by him as children. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains in detail anything that is necessary for treatment. He has a great bedside manner and loves children. Dr Grodinsky is a horrible doctor (always rude, harsh, pushy, rushed argumentative, impersonal, uncaring, non listening) He forced his services onto us 7 yrs ago claiming it to be our lucky day, as we had not chosen a pediatrician as of that time. Hours after our baby was born, he then proceded to break my new born daughter's pelvis, claiming it was 'standard procedure' to check for spinal/leg alignment. So tired of dealing with his horrible approach to being a doctor (let alone a children's doctor!!) It's impossible to approach him as a trusted professional at a critical time in our child's growth and development. There has never been a feeling of trust with him, as there should be. Time we moved on to search for a real children's doctor, like the many talented ones we see at CHEO on the occasion we need to go there. My advice would be to steer clear of Grodinsky!! read more

Was in a complete rush, kept being super harsh on the baby, he would press on her face so hard just to check her ears (she just turned 1yo). Then when he finally remembered the reason we were there for (to check her mouth), he then started pressing on her tongue and her head so much that my sister started leaning my body downwards from all the pressure he was putting on the baby. She asked him if he could be a little more gentle and he literally moved away and said "I'm going to stop" and walked out of the room. This was the after hours number provided to me by my baby's pediatrician's office as Telehealth told me I should have her seen by a doctor within 24hrs. Should I have known there was an unprofessional monster there, I would have taken my baby straight to Cheo. read more
