I'm not a hair dresser and trying to find someone on a Sunday to fix my mess was what I had to do because of work. I have known her for over ten years and because I couldn't get back to her ASAP she canceled all my future appointments with no phone call but through text which is extremely disrespectful. Also I referred several people and she charged me $150 more than the people I referred. I always tip 20%. I'm so glad this happened because when she was told not to worry about it I found someone to fix my hair. She asked if I wanted to come in on Tuesday when she's known for 12 years I work 12 hour days. I had no expectations of her coming in but she offered to take then out but would not put them back in. That would've been a nightmare. This has happened a couple times now. She over charges and her work has gone so down hill. I just didn't want to deal with my work and finding someone new. I should've left when she just out of no where started upping her prices only on me. I work extremely hard and she upped her prices and lowered her standards knowing I'd pay it. Don't come here!

When I first went here, the place gave some really good, high quality haircuts. The last few…read morevisits, however, not so much. I used to get my haircut from the owner, Freddy, who seemed to do a really good job at cutting, while also seemingly personable and talking to me about my day, and what's been going on. As time went on though, and considering how far I would have to drive to downtown and get a haircut, things started to fall off. I would always make sure to put myself down for an appointment but I would often have to wait for another client who he would be running over with on time. Once maybe twice is okay (I went for around 10 appointments or so), but it was pretty much every time I went I had to wait an extra 5-15 minutes before I was in the chair. Some haircuts turned out really good, and others were a little sloppy and seemed rushed since he was already over on his time and had to compensate somewhere, which I guess was sometimes me. I also went to try out the perm hairstyle and got it done by Sheila, but the perm was $200~ and ended up only lasting maybe 2-3 months despite delicate care in the process to make it stay longer. The way she did it also didn't seem to be the best since a lot of the curls were really loose even though I told her I wanted it to last a while (especially considering the price). Maybe I was the one-off that ended up not staying or looking good with perms, but I was pretty disappointed with it. Only thing I can really note that was good was that I think it helped with some texturing of my hair to not be so straight all the time. I believe the vibe of this location is good, but definitely got loud since they shared the space with 2 other businesses and also had a gym studio move in above them causing a lot of extra noise. I'm seeing now they have a new location (I only went to the old spot) which would make this issue hopefully non-existent. Since I always went out of my way to come get my haircut here, it was showing some serious diminishing returns compared to just finding a location closer which I eventually did after I moved. I believe Freddy and his team will continue to have success, but I will not be coming here anymore due to repeated issues I was having.

I've known Grissel for about 6 years now and I love her work. Everytime I leave there, I leave happy, which has never happened with any other hairstylist before. Not only are her cuts amazing, she also gives me neat tricks on what to do with it and what products would work well with my hair type.
