My friend did a fair amount of her Christmas shopping on the spot. I particularly liked the range of Christmas decorations by Gisella Graham. The tree decorations were about 2-3 pounds each which may sound expensive, but they were Shaker style and looked handmade. I bought four of these and now can't wait to put up my Christmas tree.

All the clothing I've bought from here has been very high quality. The changing rooms are nothing special but they're not awful, either, and are just, you know, changing rooms. A bit of space to move around and see how it looks, but not much really. Either way. Staff are friendly. Good prices to be found and I'd recommend having a look. There's a quite a bit of variety in the clothing and isn't just all one style like I had prior imagined.

There are a few cheap shops selling these tourist bits and bobs in Porthcawl, and I would always avoid them. However when I went inside I was impressed with the selection of goods on offer. I wanted to get a love spoon, and was pleased with the decent size range of styles and prices. They also had other traditional Welsh items, and locally produced crafts and gifts. The staff were really slow - but very friendly, and did offer me a discount, even though I didn't ask for one. All in all this is a good shop to pop into if you are looking for a nice Welsh gift, or if you are visiting Porthcawl and fancy a memento - or just a bucket and spade for the beach.
