There were two stops, ten-minutes at Hafen Enge Kiosk, on Lake Zurich, and 15-minutes at the Fraumunster Church, which gave plenty of time to see the Marc Chagall windows. I enjoyed the tour. Tour narration is available in eight languages, including English -- each person using a personal headset -- and audio worked flawlessly. The bus -- built to resemble a trolly car -- was comfortable and clean, the windows were spotless, and were open wide because it was a warm day. Our driver, Walter, did a good job operating the audio and driving the bus, but was flat otherwise. To be fair to Walter, it is hard to have flair when the bus is filled with strangers, speaking several different languages, as well as contending with Zurich Old Town traffic. The ticket booth is located at, and all tours depart from, the SihlquaiI Bus Terminal, located 200 meters behind the Zurich main train station. Five Stars.

Why do I like Ama Kristina? *they provide you with 2 bottles of water per person daily; one in your cabin & 1 to take ashore on excursions .*wifi works great; not like on ocean cruises *make your own specialty coffee all day *food is varied, delicious, omelette station *you may choose from a menu for all meals or do breakfast and lunch buffet style or light lunch. * the main dining room staff become your home away from home; the immediate recognition is uncanny. This ship we have met workers from Bulgaria, Romania and Indonesia. *there is afternoon tea as well as late evening excursions.

While this was our first river cruise (after several ocean cruises), we were very pleasantly surprised, and are extremely likely to not only take more river cruises, but in all likelihood, will do so on one of AmaWaterways' ships. Our particular cruise began in Budapest, with a night in port in that lovely city, which included a sailing up and down the Danube to view the city by night--it is simply magnificent, with all the buildings lit up. We then sailed up the Danube, with stops in Bratislava, Vienna (overnight there), Durnstein and Melk in one day, Linz, Passau, and ending in Vilshofen. From that city, most passengers went on by bus (included in price) to Prague, with a stop in Regensburg. A smaller number of passengers took a bus (also included in price) to Munich. There were capacity-controlled tours included in every city, with each passenger getting a receiver enabling all passengers to hear the tour guide easily, even from 50' or more away. Bicycle tours were offered in three cities, and there were only two optional tours that had additional costs (we attended one, a concert in Vienna at a cost of roughly $125-$130/person, and well worth it). Food on the ship was very good, with an emphasis on local cuisine at each stop. Beer and wine were complementary with all meals, although upgraded wines, along with mixed drinks, were at the passenger's expense. (Prices were reasonable.) With only roughly 160 passengers on board, it's econically infeasible to have big entertainment, but we did enjoy some local folklore dancers, along with a classical music trio, and a June Oktoberfest (on a 90-degree evening) in Regensburg. Other nights we were treated to a keyboard player with a wide range of selections. Considering that the average passenger's age was probably somewhere near the age of dirt, there wasn't much dancing. The entire crew was very friendly, extremely service-oriented and eager to please. We enjoyed getting to know most of the staff and learning a little Romanian, Hungarian, Slovakian, German and a couple of other languages. We truly loved the cities and towns where we stopped, and highly recommend this line, particularly if you don't mind being with an older group, most of whom are very sharp.

Hotel in the middle of nowhere !…read more I was here for work during two days. It is a clean small hotel. I think its mostly used by tourist who are travelling through Switzerland. They have 1 big meeting room and two small ones. They were very well equiped for business meetings. The room was small but clean. I had a room towards the street and this was horror. As there was no AC I wanted to open the window. But it was not possible with all the noise. It is a busy road (even at night) and it woke me everytime. I only had one pillow and it was kinda small. I wanted to call reception... guess what, no phone. If you wanna wash your hair, bring shampoo because they only have hard soap. The staff was nice and very helpfull. But you see that they are not used to have big groups. Anyway, maybe good for a day, but not sure I would go back for business. PS: the internet was so slow you could almost not use it...

There was also one gentleman, who was the only person to sign up for Mt. Rigi Tour. Instead of cancelling that tour (since there was only one person), Best of Switzerland lumped in hom with ours and we had to do a special drop off and pick up for him. I do not blame him, the tour should have been cancelled. We ended up with a random free hour in Lucerne while we were waiting for him, instead of directly heading back to Zurich.

The bus was too loud to hear her for portions of the tour. There was an ANNUAL marathon in town today, so we had to do the tour backwards. It felt like this created scheduling problems, as the tour fell behind. When we got to Felssenegg, they crammed us in to the cable cars like sardines & kept trying to put more people in. The restaurant at the top of the mountain that we were told about refused to serve us from the menu because we were on a tour & they couldn't get the food out fast enough. They're not allowed to have vehicles running and parked, so if you get back to the bus early, don't sit in it or you'll cook in the heat (vehicle not running= no air conditioning). Also, we never saw anything in booking the tour that mentioned strenuous walking or physical exertion- 3 separate people (including someone in my group) had to miss parts of the tour because they couldn't physically partake. No matter how nice or informative the guide was, I wish I hadn't gone on the tour

The rental process was…read moresmooth, the bikes were really nice quality and we were given great directions of trails for where we wanted to go, as well as advice on where we could get in the time we had. The experience was the highlight of our backpacking trip. Cannot recommend enough!
