Especially combined with the melting American cheddar on the Calamari King. A whopping fresh bun with beer battered chips and a hefty serving of salt and pepper calamari. My partners Monster McSchnit was true to it's name and put even his enormous mouth-opening skill to the test. Don't bother wiping hands as you go. Just get messy and clean up when you're done. As a first time customer and taster of a calamari burger I'll have to return to try a timid traditional to see how they really stack up against the competition. Despite the new look of The Exchange Hotel and getting Goodtime Burgers on board, (at least I think it's still The Exchange. A bit confusing), its not hard to see it's still a pub. Must have been a big night before as the floors were filthy. Not visibly so but there was no mistaking our shoes clinging with every step. This is my main reason for 3 stars. The entire team of staff/owner/s need a kick up the arse if they think this is an acceptable experience for customers. The venue itself is a great location, even if a touch out of the way of the main eateries. Of course I love the food offered, I love the view, I love sitting in the warm sun outside when possible but I've really enjoyed the constant welcome from the manager/owner of the place. The staff too ;) Says a lot to me when they take time out to meet n greet you personally. The selections of food have always been fresh and tasty...and filling. This joint is also open late so good to come before of after a movie to eat, chill and talk. It may not be a 5 star restaurant but I feel like I get a 5 star experience.

I had the milo thick shake at The Rocks location years ago and happy to report it's just as good. Beers on tap or by the bottle. Sadly missed out on the $2 wine or schooner with any main meal which could be better displayed. We saw it advertised afterward when leaving the centre. But there's always next time.
