As someone…read morewho's worked in the veterinary field, the respect and compassion I have for these two incredible women is truly something special. Years ago, I made a last-minute appointment for my dog, Macie. Within 10 minutes, Dr. K recognized that she had PRAA. She welcomed us with open arms, took the time to walk us through Macie's treatment plan, and made us feel completely supported through it all. Fast forward to today--I called with an emergency case, and Ashley immediately jumped into action. Her calm guidance and quick thinking helped me transfer one of our patients into their care seamlessly. Even though I don't live close by, I know I can always count on them. They are my steady rock in the distance. Dr. K and Ashley are a powerhouse team who save lives every day. You both kick serious butt--thank you for being the superstars you are!

He had to be admitted to the hospital. We were put at ease by Dr. Rhett. He informed us of all the tests, bloodwork, and care that Bruiser was going to receive along with cost. The communication was incredible. We were updated on his condition every morning and evening. Bruiser received amazing care while he was there. The incredible veterinarians are the reason Bruiser is home and improving every day. Dr. Kristen and Dr. Rhett should receive 10 Stars for their service. If you want the best care for your fur baby, you must bring them to Cypress Lake Animal Hospital.

But after speaking with the adoption agency, he came back into the room with a completely different attitude. He accused me of being a liar and a manipulator and even told me that he could care less about my medical condition. As someone who lives with spinal stenosis, fibromyalgia, nerve damage, and multiple surgeries with rods in my neck and leg, I found this deeply offensive and cruel. I was simply trying to explain the difficulties I face as a disabled person who was not informed about the dog's medical issues before adopting. I was there to seek help for an animal in need, and instead I was belittled, humiliated, and treated with complete disrespect. No professional should speak to clients this way. I left the office in tears, and my family was appalled at how unprofessional, cold, and downright rude this veterinarian was. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone who expects compassion, respect, or basic decency.

We had 2 dogs that they cared for over several years. Our big dog developed a cancerous lesion on his face about a year ago. We watched it very closely, but it just got to be huge. He was 19 years old, and had lived a very nice life. When it got to the point that he couldn't eat without bleeding, we decided to end his misery. They worked around our work schedules and let us grieve for a very long time in the room with him. Six months later our other dog was vomiting a lot and started to get lethargic. We initially thought it was because we were traveling a lot and boarding him (along with the fact that he was sad too after losing his brother). Since he was not getting better, we took him in to get to the root of the problem. Dr. Goss did exploratory surgery and found what he thought was stomach cancer. Dr. Goss was very patient with him. He spent a week in ICU. Dr Goss checked on him twice each night after hours and called us every day with updates. When the test results came back and it was indeed stomach cancer, we were devastated. Our pup came home for 2 days, but he was just miserable. We decided to end his misery too. Once again, the staff at Prairieville Animal Hospital worked with us and our schedule to find the right time to put him to sleep. Throughout the entire ordeal, Dr. Goss called us daily. He was so sympathetic and offered such great bedside manner when we were just so sad. Our family is so very appreciative for all the time, thoughts and prayers the staff gave us throughout this awful time. Our family has only had 3 dogs. Our first lived 16 years, then these 2 lived 19 and 12 years. Dogs become such part of your family. I'm proud to say that these 2 pups had the VERY BEST CARE in the Baton Rouge area! I would strongly recommend Dr. Goss and his staff to anyone looking for a veterinarian!!

I have never loved a vet clinic more! Dr.Kleinpeter is the most gentle, caring, and helpful vet…read moreI've ever come in contact with. The other woman vet was very helpful as well in my previous experience. To give a little insight both of my cats had interesting care needs: one had bladder stones and needed to be put on the diet to help with that and my other has allergies which an antihistamine helped clear that up... I have experience more than five other vet clinics in the past year with both of my cats where they were not treated for the root cause rather than just treating their symptoms... Needless to say, I am so grateful I found this vet because now I am saving myself my cats and my bank account from a lot of trouble. You can fully trust that your pets will get the best care here! Thank you guys a million times!!!

We are new hamster owners and didn't know what was happening. She had wet tail, and Dr. Kleinpeter told us (not the kids so as not to worry/scare them) that Bailey had a 50% chance of surviving. They have her fluids at the appointment, and we were able to give her liquid antibiotics for the next week. It's been months now, and she's tripled her weight (she was essentially evacuated when we brought her in) and is fully recovered. Since then, my mom started bringing her new golden retriever puppy and could not be happier with the service provided by Dr. Kleinpeter. Her puppy will need an eye surgery at 6 months, and Dr. Kleinpeter is very knowledgeable on this eye condition and answered my mom's questions before my mom's puppy was even officially a patient. Dr. Kleinpeter truly cares and puts animals' well-being first. Recently, I had to call regarding a concern with Bailey's eye, and the advice they gave over the phone (on a Friday night) was so helpful. We didn't even need to bring her in as what they told us to do was exactly what she needed. Nice to know they have emergency availability here as well as scheduled appointments, surgeries, and boarding. They're a specialty veterinary practice that we were extremely happy to find for our little hamster. I highly recommend and will be back!

If I had written this review six months ago, I would've complained that they had grossly outgrown their facility. However, a couple of months ago they built a standalone brand new building so they now have plenty of space. I've had several of the vets there treat my dogs, and I also purchase all of my pet prescriptions from them. All the doctors are extremely capable, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The rates are competitive, although I do think it would be a lot less expensive if I lived in a more rural area. I will be returning with both of my pups whenever I need veterinary care.

UNPROFESSIONAL & THREATENED ME!!!…read more I took my 13 yo POM for euthanasia in November 2025 and they left us in the room for 30 min unsupervised after giving him the first shot. They had told us they would be back in 10 min to give the final injection. My dog wound up having a heart attack due to their negligence as they waited too long! He was thrashing and screaming at the top of his lungs!! My BFF (who had her mother's dog put to sleep ~ 1 month before (smooth) & my son were with us and they ran out the door yelling to find help. After 5+ min (about 15+ by the time they got his final shot administered), they wound up giving him additional shots (yes multiple - at least 2 more) to finally put him down, but not before standing in my face and repetitively & continuously asking me if "I wanted them to help me," as I cried hysterically trying to calm my baby! "Of course," I replied, "that's why I'm here in the first place," as we all tried to calm my dog! Over the next week plus, I received a call from his actual vet there (West), who was sencere, apologetic and talked for almost an hour, heard me out and explained what had happened and told me we would work through this together; to call her anytime I was upset in the future, as I had to go to the doctor for myself after all that. I also received a sympathy card from the entire staff. I was in a VERY Bad Way for over a month and still have issues, but needed let it all go. FF to today 5/20/26 (6 mo) - to my absolute shock, I contacted then to take my son's dog in & made an appointment. The receptionist booked me right away and we hopped in the car. Once almost there, I received a call from Dr. Anderman herself and the conversation goes pretty much as follows: Me: Yes, this is Melissa (while driving and supporting a dog with a hurt leg). Anderman: We won't be able to see you as we're severing the relationship between us. "IF YOU DRIVE UP ON THIS PROPERTY, I WILL CALL THE POLICE AND HAVE YOU ARRESTED!" M: Are you serious? A: Yes, you yelled at and threatened my staff. (Which I did in NO terms do!!) M: Wait a minute, I need to pull over! Y'all left us in the room and my dog had a heart attack and no one could be found. I cant believe this; my son's dog is hurting and you just threatened me while I'm driving! A: I didn't threaten you. We are ending our relationship and if you show up you will be arrested!! M: You didn't think to let me know this back then? No problem, I'll find another vet! Glad to know they think a 60 yo, disabled woman is such a threat. BTW, my son's dog is okay now. Thanks for reading & proceed with caution!! Shame on Anderman!!! M
