The longest tree-lined avenue in Europe, it stretches from Drumcondra to Marino, and is a retail free zone. Nary a Spar or a Centra graces its leafy edges, so if you are looking for a bottle of water on your run, jog on. It is a top spot for kids looking for conkers - many of the trees are horse chestnuts - and it is particularly nice during autumn, with foliage to rival that of Long Island.
In the winter, however, it can really feel like the longest tree-lined avenue in Europe - no busses navigate its whole length, which is something of a pain if you live in the middle. read more
