My friend was right there! -they do not limit number of folks on the bus and on the way back down it was PACKED. not only were all the seats taken but literally every space in th bus. Countless standing people in there as well. That was a lot of folks for a small space. Obviously i would ride it again if i needed to, but i was extremely turned off by the drivers behavior. She was warm, patient, and extremely helpful in making the modifications we needed. From that first interaction, we felt like we were in good hands. When we arrived, Rainey was thoughtful and accommodating, especially since my wife and I were traveling with her parents, who needed a little extra support and assistance. Her kindness was greatly appreciated. Then we met Susan in the gift shop...an absolute gem. We immediately connected when I mentioned that my late mother's name was also Susan. I asked if she knew the meaning of her name, and she replied, "Lily." That stopped me in my tracks because the book I'm writing about my mother is titled The Lily of the Valley. I promised Susan that when it's finished, I'll send her a copy. In fact, our conversation inspired me to sit down and write while we waited to board the dome train. Once aboard, Thomas, our server, was awesome. He was knowledgeable, informative, personable, and made us feel less like customers and more like family. His service added so much to an already memorable ride. The scenery is spectacular, but what really made this experience special were the people. Sharon, Rainey, Susan, and Thomas each contributed something memorable to our day. A truly wonderful experience and one we highly recommend. The even side had the gorge wall most of the way. Food is very good with fresh ingredients and nice flavors. If you purchase online with the ticket you get a free beverage. We had wine which was very nice. The mocktail pina colada was fantastic! We sat in the domed cars which gave a much better view of the scenery. There is an open air car that is available if you want to stand and experience the wind in your hair. We spent a total of approximately two and a half hours. We would definitely ride it again. Tip: there is a huge gift shop you walk through before boarding the train. This is after the gift shop where you pick up the tickets.
