No complimentary water offered at check-in for reward member…read more TV unplugged upon arriving is never a good start to your stay. The remote barely works and you have to get up and unplug the television in order to turn it off. Does this sound like a luxury suite to you. Don't bother trying to call the front desk from your room or from your cell. They didn't answer for me. Bugs in the bed? Found an unknown thing in the bed after first night of being itchy. I had little options and none made me feel like things would have been better to repack everything and move. Also, my job limited my ability to move hotels. Decided to sleep on the very springy sofa bed. Very unrestful stay. Then after a few days moved back to the bed but on top of the covers of course. Locked out of room for 45 minutes because deadbolt sensor didn't register as unlocked when I left the room for breakfast. I explained to management the door needed an override key. Maintenance attempted break-in tool. Competency level of management is poor. Management then remembered they had a key to over ride deadbolt system in back office. Wifi not working due to misspelling of last name. The hospitality of this hotel is minimum. Parking situation is a pain. Pay extra for valet and end up waiting for your car if multiple people need their cars at the same time. The parking garage is next block over. Only one parking space in front of the hotel for checking in, the other 10 spaces are for valet. Self-parking: They will provide you with an entry card for garage. Needed for driving entry. What they won't tell you is when you check out, you still need card to use elevators from ground floor. I had to push luggage to second level deck just to use elevator to get to fourth floor. Dirt in hallway was there for three days. The 6th floor hallway and elevators had an odor of urine. After all of this, They have the wrong home address on my final receipt and the stay never populated on the app.

Very nice hotel! It's clean, the beds are comfy and each room has a kitchen. There is laundry…read moreonsite and you can purchase laundry soap at the front desk. They have valet service for $32 or you can park next door in the lot for $10 a night. There are three EV charging stations in the garage, but the price to charge goes up substantially at 3am- yes, when it should be cheapest. Anyway, my only drawback to this hotel is parking.

The Farnam was easily one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in the Midwest! The entire property…read morefeels upscale and thoughtfully designed, and our room was incredibly spacious, elegant, and comfortable! The location is also fantastic. You're right in downtown Omaha near Gene Leahy Mall and within walking distance of the Old Market, restaurants, bars, and plenty to do. We were there over a weekend and loved being able to walk out of the hotel and immediately feel like we were in the middle of everything! We also had dinner at Dynamite Woodfire Grill inside the hotel, which made the stay even better. The plates were not only delicious, but each dish was was plated uniquely and with purpose. I would absolutely stay at The Farnam again on another Omaha trip!

Bar service was friendly & the right amount of chatty (if you also like to sit at the bar for drinks, you know what I'm talking about) We had a Visionary Suite - 1114 - view of the park, the river, ball stadium. Spacious & gorgeous. Felt like an apartment. Definitely recommend if you have kids with you. Grabbed pastries for breakfast & enjoyed the island w stools for an easy in pjs family breakfast. Black out curtains on windows were excellently fitted. Room was very clean. Bed comfy. Towels were the bathsheet size, not tiny hotel towel size. I love nice hotels. I really love The Farnam. My husband had stayed here before & had joked about how he wasn't coming home bc he liked it so much. We stay in upscale hotels regularly, so I thought he was being silly. They'd won him over & they won me over too. This is the only place I want to stay in Omaha.

DoubleTrees can be either amazing and unique or weird and outdated, the Downtown Omaha Doubletree…read moreunfortunately feels like the latter. You can tell this hotel had its hayday in the 80s and 90s and today it suffers from a bizarrely old fashioned lobby and depressing room decor. Even with a Diamond upgrade, there wasn't a ton to be excited about besides a quiet overly large room. It's a great location with lots of things within close walking distance but I would rather stay a bit further away in a newer hotel.

I needed to stay here for a conference being held in the Omaha Convention Center. When I booked…read morethis hotel for that visit, I thought it mapped out as being about half mile away, but it was more like a mile and in 90 degree weather when dressed up, that's a long walk. Fortunately I only made that walk once, as I learned the next day that they offer a shuttle bus here and will take you to the convention center... they also will take you to the airport, which was a great perk! Checking in was a breeze and the lady who checked me in was friendly and helpful. I actually had occasion to talk to a few different people at the desk during my 3 night stay and they were all very helpful and friendly. The room I got was woefully outdated. It was also poorly kept up. There was something on the carpet next to the bed which resembled chunks of mud, so that tells me they don't vacuum the room. There was urine splatter allllll over the floor in a 3 foot circle around the toilet, which is VERY DISGUSTIN and that tells me they don't mop and sterilize the floor. There were hairs in my bath towel that fell out when I unfolded the towel after taking a shower and needing it to dry off. There were long hairs in the sink (I have short hair, definitely not from me). The tub didn't drain as fast as the shower put water into it, so I was standing in dirty water while taking a shower. The HVAC was annoying, as it was too loud and ran constantly the entire time I was there, but I needed it, as it never seemed to reach a decent temperature in that room. The common areas were moderately decent, but definitely outdated décor and slightly worn out. They have a bank of several elevators and it seemed only one was operational for more than a day, as it was the only one that always came to pick up people and it was always packed. During busy times, there was a line around the corner to get in it. I think this is why they opened a backroom service elevator, which I used a few times and it was really fast. I normally stay in Marriotts, rarely Hilton - But my review here isn't a knock against Hilton properties because I've stayed in many many Marriotts that were much worse. What's ridiculous are these hotel franchises that don't keep up with their properties. I feel like they invest millions to build or refurbish one time and then milk them for as long as they can to make all that money back and lots more before then refurbish again. The problem with that is I paid about $1200 for 3 nights here and it was the quality of a Super 8, about $50/night. I definitely wouldn't stay here if back in town.
