Albany is clearly behind the times. This station serves passengers for Greyhound and also local transit buses on Albany Transit System. The station itself is large but very outdated. It's like Greyhound forgot about this city which is unheard of because whenever I come through this city this station is always full of people. It would be good for Albany Transit and Greyhound to get together to do some renovations to appeal to their customers. The station is in a very busy area for a small town so it would be nice to see some upgrades. Very minimal. read more

It's a bus terminal for both Greyhound and local buses. Facility is clean, staff is friendly and helpful. I decided to use the Greyhound bus to travel up to Atlanta. This took approximately three hours. The bus driver made two stops along the way so we could get down and stretch our legs, use the bathroom and grab something to snack on. When we arrived in the Atlanta facility we were dropped off by a train station which did not seem like I really safe place to be. The drop off point in Atlanta was close to a police station and a jail. I had planned to take the train and noticed two police officers talking outside the gates of the train station. Only two other people were there. I quickly bought my ticket went to the train platform and waited for the train!! The train was late and I was getting anxious after being approached several times. To my relief the train finally came after 30 minutes!! I may not use the greyhound bus going to Atlanta again. Since my experience was not very good, but the Albany Greyhound facilities looked much safer. So I'll give them a three star for the Albany facility, but Greyhound has got to improve the drop off point in Atlanta! read more

Worst experience. Starting off, I would like to say Greyhound needs to do a better job at providing signs and a safe sitting area at the pickup/drop-off location in Dougherty County, Ga. This is a dangerous area and they just have you standing on the street. However, the real problem was what occurred on the bus. I traveled from Albany GA to Atlanta Ga on October 30, 2022 at 8pm. The driver gave distinct rules and instructions to all individuals. There were two passengers on the bus smoking. 1 woman was smoking a black and mild. And the male was vaping marijuana. The gentleman smoking marijuana had his music on loud speaker, the driver asked him to put earphones in. That was it. He did not say anything about the smoke. And the guy still refused to take his phone off speaker. His response was he likes music. The woman smoking black and milds was on the phone for 3 hours using profanity very loudly and being verbally abusive to the guy she was on the phone with. She made it extremely unpleasant and stressful for the passengers around her. The guy sitting next to her was uncomfortable. I was concerned for my safety because the smoke was causing severe head pain. Upon arrival in Atlanta she pulled out a small, black pistol and warned others not to bother her. I was so shaken that I left the bus and vomited outside the Marta station. I have reported this to Greyhound 5 times and nothing has been resolved. No one has responded to my emails and the call representatives tell me there is no person or department that handles safety issues... even though their motto is Safety for all. I am not satisfied and will not use anymore services from them. I understand it wasn't their fault about what occurred on the bus but they are not doing anything to investigate and ask other passengers about their experience. Everyone that was on that ride needs to be compensated immediately. read more
