They cut back the carpet, cut out only the corner of the rotting wood base boards and said they could test for mold but if there was no mold to be found, I'd be charged for the tests. There are multiple cracks in the foundation of that building. And how could i forget about the "faux drains" at the bottom of the steps before entering the apartment... Don't do it. Don't even get me started on the argument i had with management (who are women, mind you) over my DEMAND of not having a man come into my apartment *without telling me* when I lived there alone. Ridiculous. There were deceased mice under the fridge as well.

I always wondered if they only acted because animal control fined them for something. Otherwise, repair calls were answered timely enough, renovations in the building were minimally invasive to residents, and rent was cheap for where we were living. The problem is the security deposit. Though we did get back way more of our deposit that I thought we would, it was a month late and that caused us a lot of heartache. Don't move into an APS building unless you have so much money that waiting forever to get your deposit back isn't going to make you overdraft on your bank account or have to pay your bills late. Also be prepared for bats, especially if you live within a mile of the bat colony that animal control services told me lives near about Laurel and Whedbee.

APS has the most rude and unhelpful employees. If you go to their office they lock all the doors…read moreso you cant even go in without knocking and waiting. Requests for service/repairs take over a year and being reminded before they attend to them. The subcontractors they use do horrible work that look like an 8 year old did it. Sellers and Rob did not disclose the home was a rental, had been smoked in, was behind on taxes, utlities etc. Home was even on septic and they tried to cover it up to avoid replacing after it was neglected for ten years. This firm will do anything to close the transaction and take a commision, regardless of the details of actual properties they sell. Avoid buying or selling with this agency. No attention to detail, careless, dishonest. Update: They even lied during mediation to avoid paying for contractually obligated reapairs that were already agreed to before closing in the inspection resolution!
