There are 3 - 4 rental units, all with living & sleeping areas and kitchenettes, and views of the lake. The owners were gracious, helpful, and respectful of guests' privacy. We stayed in one of the two "annex" suites, and enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning (and watching the moon rise in the evening), and reading at the picnic table along the small beachfront of the property. Great for a reasonably priced, quiet get-away where most of the noise came from the waves lapping on the beach, the wind (and windchimes), and birds.

The furniture in the front room of Maggie Suite is tired, small couch is actually a hide-and-bed. The bed was too hard for me, but it could be wonderful for you. For a 2 night stay, we were gifted 2 bottles of water in the refrigerator. The breakfast buffet was my biggest disappointment, for $240/night I was really looking forward to the breakfast and sadly really disappointed. It simply wasn't worth the price and I felt gypped. Again, for some this would probably be perfectly acceptable but for me it was not.

We rented the entire house, which was absolutely perfect for our situation. The charm and history of the home completely wowed my girlfriends--it's truly a one-of-a-kind place. Bayfield is already such a magical town, but staying at Queens View made the experience even more unforgettable. We sat at a corner table in the first dining room area and we could see the neighborhood and water from our window. The service was great; our waitress, Maime, was very friendly, personable, and attentive. The food was exceptional!! We loved all of it! My favorite was the fresh fruit bruschetta appetizer with honey goat cheese and I also loved that the whitefish is caught right out of Lake Superior and served for dinner! The mashed potatoes were so sweet that we considered the possibility of putting them on waffles. Bayfield Guest House is a cute house that has 5 suites, all with different names -- we stayed at Eerie Suite. It's a woman-owned company & you can definitely tell because there are so many wonderful things that made this place from good to great! The sheets, robes & towels are all INCREDIBLY soft. I appreciated all the amenities like makeup wipes, bath salt for the tub, and a bottle opener/wine corkscrew, just to name a few. Easy instructions for entry (push the keypad fast. Too slow & it will time out), plenty of reading material provided to know what to do & where to eat in town, plus easy walking distance from restaurants & shops. An amazing, refreshing stay!

Fantastically delicious breakfast in the morning, and great storytelling and live guitar music at night. We would hang out with this couple regularly if we lived closer!
