What a fantastic Farmer's Market, I love the layout of the loop around the area. Lots of eating options "Go to Lady Baklava" Coffee, Beer, Cider, Distillery Tasting, lots of hand made items, plants and of course veggies. All the vendors are super pleasant and great to talk to about their products without being pushy. We typically go to Beaverton or Portland Farmers Market but this one is now on our radar. read more

I think Russian Farmers Market is one of the best in the state. The fee for a vendors is very reasonable. Parking is not an issue at all. The best thing about it is the variety of vendors that are there. You can find vendors that sell flowers, plants, handmade Goods, high end hand-made purses , hot food, and beer also. It's worth the drive. read more

Portland has many farmers markets. They tend to be on different days and there are many of the same vendors at different markets. The Gresham market, I believe, is in the top three in the city (Milwaukee and lake Oswego in the group). Its large. There are multiple fresh fruit/veggy vendors and there are many food vendors (the donut one is the best). If you want to jump in and jump out there are many smaller markets in the area (Oregon city, Beaverton, etc). Gresham is a nice combo of many choices and you can spend a couple of hours wandering the shops. read more

We enjoy going to Gresham Farmers Market. The food , vegetables, homemade goods are all great. The sellers are very nice and you get treated well. The food carts have good food. Love to go around this time of year. So many people walking around buying vegetables or ceramics or whatever they want. And everyone says good morning and very friendly. Will plan on going back soon. OK now I was hard on The farmers market before period I came from a place where they had farmer's markets based around things all from a farm. Now my point is if they were to call this a bizarre or any other name I would be much more on board. They have a lot of fun activities and food and fun trinkets but just not much produce. See where that is the point I used to go to farmers markets for. Now I have not bought much produce from these markets sadly but truthfully. I do like to get flowers once or twice per month while they are operating for the wife. I do love the sample and buying sweets from there sometimes a coffee and rarely food. Maybe I just went a little too hard on my 1st 2 star review. As a man I've grown become softer and more accepting. I respect that you chose do identify as a farmers market and I will not assume your label. read more

Ron has been experimenting with turning a bike of his into an electric bike. Our original intent was to go to Portland Bicycle Shop to procure a particular tube for the tires. Inevitably we started the "I'm hungry" conversation which led us to the Gresham Farmer's Market which is located about three blocks from this bike shop. I'm not sure if I would necessarily call this a farmer's market because there are only a few fruit and vegetable stands. Instead I would call it a marketplace with quite a wide variety of items and vendor stands grouped around a park square. Ron and I chose a gyros stand. This was my gift to Ron as it was his birthday. We both so enjoyed our sandwiches and time it took to stroll around and visit the stands. Ron bought a bottle of hard cider and some fabulous molasses cookies for dessert. It was a joy to see so many families out and about. The vendors were all friendly. The park square is clean and attractive. It is also closed off from traffic making for a safe environment. I really enjoyed Gresham Farmer's Market. I hope you will too. read more

This is an average farmer's market. Not bad, not huge .. but then im from the land of huge farmers markets in socal and hawaii... The produce stands were my favorite food here. Fairly reasonable pricing for extremely fresh and attractive fruit and veggies! Im excited to eat some of what I bought. Blackberries, zucchini, green onions, radishes etc... Found a fun nut butter place, I think called bliss... anyway was drawn in... not great bargain pricing but freaking yummy so who cares lol Music was playing and the are several food truck type options including Hawaiian, Russian, shaved ice, popsicles, doughnuts, and freshly I can't remember what else. I didn't eat because I was about to go to the movies... Is great to check out... and i will be back... frankly the produce prices are reasonable and very close to if not under typical grocery pricing.... and it's fresh and im supporting a family business by buying the.... so yes. I've lived in the area for 6 years and I visited for the first time today. Now, it's been a long time since I've really been a part of the farmers market "scene", but I loved it! I had the craving for some good fresh local produce and I was reviewing markets in the vicinity and was put off by some of the negative reviews. Ultimately, I ended up going out of sheet proximity and convenience and I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!!! In fact, I spent way more money than I intended to. I went prepared with cash, but there was an ATM on-site. There were also port-a-potties available. This one is close to downtown, so lots of small businesses in walking distance when you're done. I found a great variety of produce, prepared goods, services, fun, and art. I will be going weekly, though my pocketbook may grumble a bit. Thank you, local vendors, farmers and merchants! read more

I am a sucker for a good Farmer's Market. I got hooked on them when I was in Alameda, California and they had a great one on Wednesdays. From then on, I have been hooked. My husband suggested the Gresham one, since we got a late start and didn't want to drive all the way to Portland for the one downtown. It is still early in the season here, I know. Everyone who had fresh produce all had the same stuff, beets, onions and cilantro. Everything looked healthy and fresh. There were a fair number of booths to choose flowers or tomato plants from. They had some rather large tomato plant for $2.50 each. Way better than the big box stores. These plants were twice the size of the ones I have been seeing.. so that means twice the chance I might not kill them this season. I am looking forward to going back later in the season to see if the produce selections gets bigger. read more

This was my first visit with the wife. It is right in the heart of downtown Gresham. There are quite few vendors selling fruits, veggies, crafts and plants. The street was busy with people. The vendors were all friendly and helpful. You could spend hours there chatting up the different vendors and people from different parts of Oregon who come to sell their wares. Parking is not too bad, there is street parking and also you can use the Multnomah Library's parking lot to park. Food selection is good too, quite a few vendors selling different types of food. It is dog friendly as long as they are leashed and you clean up after your pets. This is a much bigger and busier venue than the Gresham Saturday Market. We will be visiting here again! read more

PLACE IS OPEN and you can tell the folks have been foaming at the mouth anticipating this because it was CRAZY BUSY! Just giving you all a heads up! Gather up your childrens' and go hunting and gathering up for your fresh veggies, fruits, as well as fresh baked goods, tamales, and all the usual suspects! Got me some basil and tarragon earth friendly style. Picked up some Alsea goat cheese as well. Kick back and listen to some music (today it was marimbas) and watch the parade of dogs traveling through with their parents. read more

I recently visited the market, purchasing several items. Plants both floral and vegetable are abundant. One word of caution. Be cautious of vendors who sell things by the pound (not by a bunch or a specific number.) I was ripped off by such a vendor who claimed a specific weight, later to be determined considerably less. Scales might not be completely accurate but they should be close. (I contacted vendor but no response.) read more
