They send prior authorizations with missing information which in turn takes an additional day or two to process so if you're in any real pain or need life saving medication expect to wait and or suffer. They take the time to get to know you and make you comfortable. I'm a patient of Dr. Scott Bralow's - he is incredibly intelligent, remembers the smallest details and I always leave with a smile. He has returned my calls and helped me on weekends WHILE he is away on vacation. My brother was also his patient prior to a relocation. One Friday night three years ago, he had an emergency situation and we sped to the hospital (were in the burbs). Dr. Bralow was ON IT. Not only for my brother, but for me as well. He still asks about my brother's health and cares for his patients immensely. Dr. Bralow also deals with my particular history with delicacy. He is really quite patient with me. This is an office I trust with my health - physically, mentally and emotionally.

In addition to the blatant lack of professionalism in regards to the way front desk staff treats/speaks to patients, my employment/medical status is at risk due to lack of communication on staff's part--this came AFTER I followed up with the office twice (after not receiving the call backs I was promised) on two different occasions. People come here for help--not to fight and advocate in hopes of eventually receiving help (maybe). My well being has actually declined due to being a patient here, and having my hands tied as other PCPs are booked until the end of the year. However, they did not give me the script for the x-ray, so I had to wind up going back to the office to get the script for the chest x-ray , I don't understand why would end this facility because they do a lot of things wrong. First of all, this woman was watching a movie while caring for patients. Secondly, she was tending to a patient with the door WIDE open and everyone in the hall could hear the poor patient's business. Nurse Raj attempted to prescribe specific medications to me based on my race. There is NO research to back his claim that my race is a factor in the specific type/class of medications I desired. 3. Nurse Raj took one look at everyone and decided to give the same advice without actually looking at each patient individually. The walls are PAPER thin. Just by sitting in the hall and waiting to be seen, I could hear nurse Raj give the same story about high BP and diabetes to patients before and after me. i also received the same lines. He never asked about how I take care of myself. I've lost 100lbs (and counting) through diet and weekly exercise and my bloodwork confirms I'm not diabetic or even pre-diabetic. Luckily, I got her medical records and I'm following her physician ( Sue Maynard) to Mt. Airy Family Practice. Mt. Airy Family Practice is located in beautiful West Mt. Airy. Not hard to find with its red awning stating the name. They're still using the safety precautions for covid. You have to ring the bell to enter. A staff member greets you at the door with a series of questions. Have had your covid shot? Exposed to covid? Out of the country? Waiting for covid results? That sort of questioning! And you must wear a mask! Once you get past this, you can enter. They were pretty efficient with the registration process, and taken in to be seen pretty quickly. My daughter has special needs and they were great and patient with her. Special thanks to the young lady that took her blood and gave her a flu shot. So sorry I didn't get her name. Sue Maynard (nurse practitioners) was great as well. Filled out the necessary paperwork that I need with no problem. The only issue is they never mentioned the $15 fee for the paperwork until I was about to leave. I do understand these fees, but please be upfront about them. So glad to be following this practice.
