I've only been a patient for a short time. But, the doctor and his staff have been excellent in every way so far:)

My first issue was the X-Ray machine they wanted me to stand on was filthy, and I asked to have it cleaned before standing on it. The cloth the technician used was black with dirt after cleaning the platform. Then I was taken back into the exam room which also appeared to be very dusty and dirty. When the doctor arrived she examined both of my feet even though I only have issues with my left toes. Then I was told my condition would require surgery to resolve and the doctor was pushing me to make a decision on the spot which I was not ready to do. Apparently I must have upset the doctor or someone on her staff because I was charged the wrong co-pay and some incorrect information was entered into my health records which looked very intentional. My primary care doctor corrected my medical records, and I let them keep the extra money they charged me. I'm hoping they use that money to buy a mop and broom to do a little cleaning. I'd recommend finding a different doctor for your foot care needs.

Her care was so poor I left her practice a month before my surgical date for an Achilles bone spur. I went to an orthopedic surgeon and found out not only did I have a bone spur but also a benign tumor and an Achilles tear. I am so thankful I did not trust her to complete this surgery. She is probably the most unprofessional doctor I have seen. She didn't order any imaging before she scheduled surgery, if she had she would have seen the tear. I had my surgery over the summer, I am on the mend and it was a good experience....but it was with an orthopedic surgeon. Ajlouney is condescending, moody, unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable as the surgery date approached. On my last visit before surgery she was so rude I left the office and knew I would not be returning for surgery.

I called back 2 days later to verify this, but when I showed up for my appointment, I am informed that he can only do 1 per visit. He was adamant about this. It did not matter what I wanted. Immediate red flag. Ths whole vibe was off. I should have left then, but I digress. The doctor did not really look at my feet other than a cursory glance. I have insurance but I paid the entire amount out of pocket although I only was supposed to pay my co-pay. Do not go here for foot problems. Please go elsewhere. I regret the decision to have my procedure done at this establishment every day since the procedure.. The only good thing about his office is the nurse Cagni. She was amazing. The doctor has an awful bedside manner and he does not talk to the patient. I saw him for a total of 10 minutes. It was a farce. I went to a different provider for the other toe and my experience was totally different. A vast improvement. Please do your research. I regret that I did not.

WARNING: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!!…read more My fiancé decided to make an appointment after tripping on a curb. He felt comfortable going to this office after reading all of the wonderful reviews on here. He actually cancelled an appointment at another podiatrist specifically to go to this doctor. He does not have insurance, and purchased a promo package for a office visit and a follow up. During the first visit his foot was too swollen to determine if something was wrong with it, but his ankle required him to be in a non-walking boot. At the follow up visit, the Doctor determined he should still not be walking on his ankle for another eight weeks. The doctor then decides to do further assessment of Dylan's foot, and found two fractures. BUT WHY??? If the boy can't walk because of his ankle, why does it matter if his foot is broken?? He is already wearing a NONWALKING boot! So we get charged 426 additional dollars for the "follow up" visit, because now he has fractures that weren't diagnosed the first visit. The staff were all very kind answering my questions....but if you're paying out of pocket...please go find a doctor that allows you to be a part of your treatment plan and won't do assessment just so they can charge you, cause I assure you, these people will!

Customer service was great and it seemed as though he really cared. When he went to gboro I followed him there and that's when EVERYTHING changed. I went for a Cortizone shot and the front desk wanted 250.00 and her explanation for that didn't make sense. I visited and few times again and I felt this LAST TIME Dr Tom was rude. He told me NOT to come back and just call because I felt we didn't agree on whether I should have another shot and he seemed irritated but I ended up getting one in each bunion and left the room immediately afterwards and went to his next patient. That was a Deterrent for me and hopefully that happens to anyone else.

Don't bother walking (if you can) through this assembly line. I went here for some minor foot pain…read morein my heels. I was hoping to get some custom orthotics made to relieve pressure. The front staff was great. They were welcoming and informative, but when I walked into the back it felt like I was on an assembly line. Everything was rushed. After I got X-rays, I was told that I had swelling because of the shape of my foot and I'd need to wear two different types of braces to correct it. One during the day and one at night. Then I'll get orthotics made the next time I come in. Oh and then I received two extremely painful cortisone shots without any numbing in my feet where I was dealing with minor foot pain. This all was in the process of about 10 minutes. I don't feel like my concerns were addressed and felt pushed out. I started to wear the braces, but they were extremely painful as they never made any adjustments to fit them to my feet. Just put them in a bag and sent me on the way. I had bruises from the shots that were inches wide. This didn't help wearing the braces. By the end of a week, new pain started in the front of right foot that was way stronger than any pain that I had in my heels. The improperly fitted braces had caused major pain in one of my toe joints. I went back in the following week and the technician said that someone should have adjusted the braces, but didn't. So he did make some adjustments. The doctor came back in and said he needed to shoot me with the cortisone again to take care of the pain. I asked if there was something else we could do because it didn't help the first time. He said no and shot it in a spot he deemed more appropriate. They then fitted me for orthotics and again sent me on my way. I had to stop wearing the braces immediately. They were tearing up my feet and extremely uncomfortable. The shots again were not effective. I waited for the orthotics and they called me in for a fitting, which consisted of me having to put the things in my own shoes and telling one of the people at the front desk how they feel. Not a doctor. I told her they were a little uncomfortable and she said they take time to wear in. They didn't wear in. At this point, I sought another opinion. The new doctor was able to take his time with me and find out what the true problems were. I have pain free since going to the new doctor. I didn't need to wear any braces. I just needed orthotics that fit the right way and a shot in the joint that was damaged from the braces. I contacted the office of Dr. Tom to ask why I would have to pay for all of this and they said " You wore it, didn't you?". Then she says, "I'd be happy to set you up on a payment plan". I feel like their was no attention really given to me and the attitude that I received back was completely unprofessional. I would never recommend this place to anyone. In fact, I will go out of my way to tell anyone that is willing to listen how terrible it is. Also, completely unrelated, the movie theater poster theme is not very professional either.

I had been in severe pain for 10 years and finally found Dr. Cram through a referral through a podiatrist inn Eden, NC. I had much more confidence in a Moses Cone surgeon than UNC or Duke. We met in his friendly and efficient office 3 times, had a current MRI done and my cardiologist, GP and endocrinologist did some testing and gave me the green light for surgery. Dr. Cram had a final meeting with me, discussed the chances of a successful procedure (there was a 85% chance the surgery would be effective) and I figured the pain I was living with wasn't really any kind of life so I agreed and surgery was 6 weeks ago. He cleaned out my arthritis and installed titanium hardware to secure the plates in place. The area was then packed with a bone-growing organic mass and closed back up. I was also told to be very careful about bending and putting extra strain on the fusion. That was 7 weeks ago and I've been back once and he x-rayed my back and it was healing extremely well. I was told to try and get up to a hall-mile a day on a track and my muscle-tone would return to my legs wgixh had been basically unused for 2-3 years. I am no stranger to surgery and to say I wasn't apprehensive about going under again would be untrue. But, when I can sleep through the night, roll out of bed with no pain and look forward to exercising instead of loathing it, I'd say it was worth it. Dr. Cram's staff is fantastic: friendly, attentive and keeps the patient load moving. It's so nice to have my life back. Thank you. What a great Christmas present.
