I would not hesitate ever turning to this group if you ever need surgery. They are at the top of game, and have new and innovative ways to get results that others don't. I was depressed and frustrated after dealing with years of lower back pain, which did not resolve even with oral steroids/surgery ie microdiscectomy. Upon first entering the office, the staff was extremely empathetic, professional, and the office was absolutely beautiful (artwork/cleanliness). Dr. Bunyak was extremely professional, provided me with extensive bedside time and had the most amazing bedside manner. She first recommended a steroid injection, which unfortunately did not help with my pain. Thereafter, she recommended PRP and this was an absolute godsend. My lower back pain completely resolved, and I was able to play and wrestle with my young children as well as get back on the slopes and ski again! I wrote her a thank you card, essentially thanking her for giving me my life back. I have been doing well over the past seven years until now when I unfortunately herniated a disc at L5-S1 causing severe pain and sciatica. I made an appointment again with Dr. Bunyak planning/expecting to get another PRP injection (as that was what cured me in the past). Dr. Bunyak spent an hour at the bedside with me discussing all of my options in a very calm, informative manner. She informed me that given my current state, she believed the PRP injection that I was hoping to get would actually exacerbate my pain and not help with the issue and she rather recommended a steroid injection at this time. Dr. Bunyak refers out her steroid injections to an extremely reputable physician. Dr. Bunyak could have proceeded with my anticipated/expected PRP injection and made way more money off of me, but rather she did what was best for me (the patient) and my health. I trust Dr. Bunyak with my life and I think she is an absolutely amazing woman and physician. She is so well educated. She attended Yale. She has been a practicing physician for decades at this point. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone who is dealing with acute or chronic back pain to consider seeing Dr. Bunyak for possible help with your pain. Lastly, Stacy the RN, was so kind and comforting from the moment I walked in the door. Steve the clinical manager, was also so kind and went above and beyond to help me with ancillary issues/tasks I needed assistance with. Overall, I cannot say enough about the entire BOUNDLESS team. Thank you for being a resource in our community.

He answered all the questions I had clearly and so that "the common person" can understand. We then agreed on an approach to the entire healing process. I am now about 10 weeks out from the injury and can say his recommended approach was right on point where I am now already back to gentle swimming and generally walking about, with my other desired activities not far off. During this time, he made sure I was in PT as soon as possible and was always available for questions and counsel. I have nothing but thanks toward him and his supporting team. Of course I hope I don't have to see him again for this same thing, but if I needed to, I would reach out to him immediately and with great confidence.

I am sure that this Orthopedic Office is great for others. However, my multiple visits were very…read moredisappointing and each visit seemed to get worse. I was referred by another physician to go to this office and see Dr. Meineke for ongoing foot pain. My initial call was answered by Maria? who sounded less than enthused to help me. I made an appointment with the dates that she gave me. I showed up for my appointment, a young blonde (Carrie?) at the front desk greeted me and had me fill out questions on a iPad. I was taken for a three view x-ray and taken to the back to be seen by the doctor. While I was waiting, I could hear every bit of the conversation by the staff who seems to just hang out in the hallway outside the rooms. I understand that the viewing stations are right there but the conversations were of personal matters and loud(loud male voices). Doctor came in and spent maybe five minutes before he ordered an MRI. I was glad that he ordered that as I have had prior trauma to that part of the body. I was told that as soon as I have my MRI, to call the office and make a f/u appointment for the results. When I went for my MRI, the nice girl went to confirm the body part to be imaged and come to find out the Dr.Meinke's office sent in an order for the wrong foot. The girl at the MRI center called the office to clear up the mix up but the office never called back ( I was there 1.5hrs from check in to check out). The MRI center did the scan on the correct foot based off of what I told them. I stopped by Dr.Meineke's office after my MRI to make a f/u appointment and to inform them of what had happened. I came across the blonde young lady again and when I kindly told her about the mix up, she responded with "It happens from time to time, HaHa!". She did not apologize and nor did she offer to fix it (smh). I returned for my f/u to find out the results of the MRI, I asked the blonde young lady if I can get a copy of my x-rays and the report. she was very sweet and said "of course, just ask for them at checkout, they will be ready for you). I meet with the doctor, We discuss the results. He walks out. doesn't say okay we are all done... so I ask if I am all finished up?. He loves to walk out and not say anything. I get to the check out desk, I ask for my x-rays and I am told that there is going to be a $5.00 fee for the CD... mind you, the blonde at the front desk never, ever mentioned a fee. I pay the money and ask where is the report that accompanies it, so the young man apologizes on behalf of the staff member who forgot to mention the fee and gives me a printout. This was my first request for the images. Normally the first set is free at most doctors offices. My MRI CD was free. I have worked in Healthcare for over 20Years and I know this not the way to run a medical center. I am sure Dr.M is very good at what he does however, I will not be returning to this office. Poor front office communication, staff members hanging around examination rooms discussing personal things. looks like a frat house. doctor spends very little time with the patient and only seems to listen to what he wants to listen and the rest doesn't seem to matter. I had high hopes but I was sadly let down.

My background allows me to appreciate the high level of clinical precision he brings to his work. He was remarkably meticulous in identifying the source of my shoulder pain and limited mobility, delivering a diagnosis that was both accurate and actionable. Furthermore, he excels at communication, explaining complex medical alternatives in clear, layman's terms. I was also particularly impressed by his technique; I experienced zero discomfort during the administration of a cortisone injection. What truly elevates my confidence in Dr. Skyhar is his distinguished history of medical leadership. Having served as Chief of Staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas, he was responsible for leading the medical staff and serving as the primary liaison for clinical excellence. His tenure in this executive role focused on: Elevating Patient Safety: Overseeing hospital-wide protocols to ensure care met the highest safety benchmarks. Defining Surgical Quality Standards: Setting the agenda for surgical best practices and ensuring staff adhered to rigorous quality metrics. Clinical Governance: Leading the Medical Executive Committee to maintain the hospital's status as a regional center of excellence. Dr. Skyhar's commitment to these high-level standards--further evidenced by his past roles as Chief of the Department of Surgery and Physician Leader for the Scripps 'System of Excellence'--translates directly to the high-quality treatment he provides in private practice. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking an orthopedic leader who masters both the science of surgery and the art of patient care.
