Dr. Haley has been my psychiatrist for 16 years and I cannot imagine a better ally in my efforts to maintain mental stability. Initially, I was very concerned about how the medication would affect my brain and personality, both short and long term. He provided me with resources, and his own knowledge and experience, to help me make the transition. It was the right decision for me. Medication has helped me feel like myself and I had not felt this for several years prior to that initial appointment. I spent those years in misery and I felt such a sense of relief when I was diagnosed and found that the medication works. He had reversed the adverse effects a general practitioner had done prior to going to a professional pharma-psychiatrist. Dr. Haley has treated me as a valued participant in my health care. He listens to my concerns and allows me to provide input. If I happen to conduct any independent research, he helps me evalute the sources of that information and if credible, has been willing to implement. Most importantly, his own ideas and perspective have been extraordinarily useful in my progress. Dr. Haley has seen me through the darkest moments in my life, both with my genetic illness and the situational depression we all experience in life. Though he does not work as a therapist, his role in my life has been therapeutic. It provides a great source of comfort and security to know I am in his care. His ability to empathize is invaluable. He is willing to put me in my place when I am trying to rationalize the irrational behavior I can exhibit. I respect this and I need it to live the best life possible. I must admit, I have developed a dependency on him, but a healthy one, I believe. He is my doctor. Though we laugh and talk, it is the fact that I am well looked after that provides me with a great deal of strength. His honesty is essential, as is mine. My illness is incurable. I will require medication for the remainder of my life. But this reality is so much easier to accept under his care. He takes my mental well-being very seriously. Though I take full responsibility for my life and hope to be proactive concerning my health, we all need a support system, both professional and personal. I have recommended Dr. Haley to several friends and strangers in the area and all have reported positive experiences. I am grateful. It is with no exaggeration when I write that my life has been astronomically improved with his help. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Hayley for over ten years and love him. He listens and comes up with solutions.

Dr Haley treated my son who had severe depression. He finally blamed my son and said he didn't know what else to do for him. He should have referred him to somebody who could help him or consult with a depression specialist. My son then died of suicide. read more

It sucks to have to give Dr. Haley 1 star, but it is NOT due to him or the services he offers. Candice is his office manager, and I have had to deal with her for over nine years now...She failed to gather my new insurance, and the time lapsed for my insurance to pay, so after a YEAR, Candice sends me an invoice of all the failed payment. WHY should I be responsible for her negligence? Anyway, long story short, I started a payment plan for the balance and just let the situation go- 9 year relationship, right.... people make mistakes...... fast forward I am a corporate recruiter, and my schedule is pretty hectic- but GOD forbid I have to reschedule an appointment with Dr. Haley because Candice charges a same day rescheduling fee of $60 buck !!!! (if I cancel my appointment, I get it.... but, to refuse to reschedule with a long term patient you have built a relationship with- BAD BUSINESS) . Explain to me this The co-pay to see Dr. Haley is only $50 - and the rescheduling fee is $60. In my last conversion with Candice, I asked if I could speak with Dr. Haley, and she refused it. Her overall demeanor has forced me to find another Dr and no longer referrer friends or family to Dr. Haley. TO BE CLEAR- Dr. Haley is terrific! Candice is NOT. read more

He's all about meds. Seems bored. Partner has gift shop in his waiting room. I kept scheduled appointments but he didn't respond to messages requesting prescription renewal. He became completely unavailable. Unprofessional. read more

Dr Haley has been my psychiatrist since I was 28 years old, and now I am 48 years old. So far, a total of 20 years and still going strong! I can tell you that he has saved my life multiple times. From the very beginning, at my first appointment, he was able to explain to me how depression & anxiety affects the brain better than any doctor had before, it finally made sense. He also is excellent at describing, or even drawing out, how each individual medication works in the brain to help alleviate your symptoms. He is truly a "God-Sent" doctor to me. I've dealt with more than anxiety & depression through these past 20 years as well, and Dr. Haley has always been there for me. He never judges, and he always has my health and best interest at the forefront of my treatment and care. read more

Dr. Haley is kind, genuine, and I feel he really cares about his patients. I've been seeing him for years, and I'm very grateful for his practice. Also big shout out for his assistant, Candice. She is always prompt with calling you back should you leave a message about needing to reschedule an appointment. She is never rude and is always patient. Just professionals all around! read more

If you are kosmemophobic like me, do NOT come here. I waited 2 months for an initial visit, walked into the office and thought I had walked into the wrong place. It was too surreal, the waiting room looks like a Jared showroom. It was utterly repulsive. It was like being asked to roll in a tub of spiders, for an arachnophobic, before seeing a doctor. The weirdest, most upsetting, irritating experience. Just, wow.... read more

I am very surprised that Dr. Haley has anything but 5 star reviews. He's more knowledgeable about medications than any doctor I've ever seen. He listens to your specific concerns and doesn't just shove you into a diagnosis box. He's willing to revisit and reconsider medications if he feels there's a better way to help you. Of course, I really like his dog, but my teenage son also sees Dr. Haley and the dog acts as an icebreaker. I've referred several people to Dr. Haley since I started seeing him, and they've all had the same experience that I have with him. read more

Dr. Haley is a compassionate and caring doctor who always sees me when I need him. He is always on time for his appointments with me and is precise and clear in his questions and explanations. I recommend him highly! read more

I have been to several psychiatrists over the years and Dr. Haley is one of the good ones. I feel like a human being at my appointment with him and not a lab rat. He actually listens to what I say. If things are good, he believes me, if things are bad, rather than argue with me about the medication I am taking he will proactively help me find something that works. Candace at the front is great. If I call about something, I don't have to call twenty times. She answers the phone, and I can feel confident that I will get a call back. A few weeks back I had an emergency about 30 minutes before my appointment time and she said I would be charged a cancellation fee if I cancelled (totally understandably..time is valuable) but she talked to Dr. Haley and he agreed to do a phone consult as a favor, so I was able to keep my appointment and not be charged. I've recommended several people here over the years.... and yes, he has a great sense of humor and the sweetest dog ever. read more

I am a bit surprised by any review less than 5 stars, but I guess everyone's needs are different. I prefer efficiency with results to being slow just to take up time. I tend to be more focused on the care I received than the facility. Here is how I feel Dr. Haley's office outperforms others in the Atlanta area: * You're not forced to constantly log in and check some poorly developed online portal that only works half the time to see if there has been any response to your last inquiry or attempt to make an appointment because their office refuses to correspond with you any other way. * His office administrator, Candice, actually answers the phone. * Candice takes down your information correctly. * If they are supposed to call you back about something, they call you back. * When they set an appointment date and time with you, it's on that day and at that time. o That means they don't accidentally delete it from the system or leave you a message the night before saying they changed it without notification to some day or time you are out of town and can't make it....then refuse to answer the phone or call you back or respond via their online portal to reschedule. o That means when you arrive to meet with the doctor for (fill in the blank), they don't tell you the appointment was accidentally set for an allergy test (what?!) so you'll just have to come back in a couple weeks when they have another opening because this isn't what was on the schedule. * If you need a monthly prescription filled, instead of having to call and email the office through the portal every day for a week prior only to find out they have forgotten your appointment and prescription again, Candice will text or call YOU twice in the days prior to your appointment to remind you of the date and time. Can you believe it!? They call YOU! o No, they will not call or text unless you tell them it is OK to do so on that number. * Dr. Haley writes the prescription for the correct medication, dosage and amount. * When Dr. Haley says he will write a prescription or call it in for you, he does it when he says he will, instead of forgetting and then being closed for the weekend and then being unavailable Monday, then doesn't call you back, email or respond, etc. * Too many doctors take one look at you and make a snap judgement and you haven't even talked to them about anything. You try to ask questions or understand and they act like you have insulted them personally. * If there are things that need to be discussed, they are. If there are not, he's not going to make you rehash details that have already been discussed to get a prescription refill. Sometimes the follow ups seem like a way other doctors are looking to milk people and insurance companies for more appointments. * Dr. Haley will work with you, listens patiently, is considerate, efficient and actually tires to find solutions. You don't get the "holier than thou" condescending Doctor Attitude. * He has the nicest, sweetest dog. Come on. Who doesn't love dogs!? * It is no surprise that a doctor so greatly superior to others in the Atlanta area doesn't accept all forms of insurance because he doesn't have to. His rates are reasonable, even for those without insurance. * He'll even sit there with you on the computer trying to find the best deals on medication, look for coupons, etc. Wow. Who does that? I'm sure you sense the sarcasm, but everything I have outlined above has actually happened with other doctors. Every. Single. Month. Over. And. Over. Not having to deal with that and having a doctor that CARES about doing a good job is life changing. Thanks Dr. Haley! read more

Dr. Haley is perfunctory, robotic and rushed. On my initial visit, which should be a complete work up, he ran through my symptoms at the speed of Usain Bolt. Little to no kind or genuine affect - Dr. Haley gets my lowest grade for psychiatric professionalism or exhibited ability. I and my wife literally walked out. read more
