I don't agree that the prices are steep - they're slightly more expensive than a supermarket, but very reasonable given that you then don't have to go out of your way for stuff. For as long as I can remember I've frequented Moonlight as my Ice cream vendor of choice. They've been around for a while and the service is impeccable. However it is a tad cramped for space and is regularly very busy. Delights is the new kid on the block and is rather impressive indeed. First thing you notice about the place is its size. I've never eaten in but the space results in a more relaxed atmosphere, larger groups are barely audible sat at the back while you order. The menu is just as impressive if not more so than Moonlight with my personal Faluda coming in a special "Kulfi" flavour. This particular flavour isn't exactly Vanilla and most of you won't know of it. All I can say is give it a try. The creamy taste and the flavour it produces due to pistachios and almonds being grinded in with the milk is just sublime. The plethora of ice cream flavours alone is reason enough to pop in for a few scoops. The turkish delight literally floored me when I first tried it in a mini re-enactment of a male version of that When Harry met Sally scene. (Unlike Meg Ryan'sreaction, mine was a more muted "damn this is good". In my head things were happening though) It was divinity in ice-cream motion. (diet out of the window) you can order any combination of ice cream you want as they have a descent selection. This place is only a dessert place but you can order hot drinks as well as we usually get a latte or cappicino to wash it down. At around a fiver each for the waffles and ice cream and hot drink it suits us just fine for an hour or so get together and quick natter!

The food was nice, the sausages, bacon and eggs where cooked well the beans where warm, only two things let the shop down cold mushrooms and there seemed to be an issue with brown sauce, I was asked by member of staff if I wanted sauce, which I replied yes! I was handed an empty bottle, another Coustomer also asked and was told it was on the table, which it also an empty bottle. Breakfast would have been nice with the brown sauce. It's difficult to talk about 2nd View without mentioning Waterstones (remember Lee it's not all about the books!!). Anyway after a couple of book filled hours we made our way over to 2nd View for a much needed brew. And I have to say that the Caramel Latte that I opted for was very very nice indeed as was Mrs Zombi's Mocha, and the seats are really comfy too, just perfect for flicking through the pages of your most recent purchases, which in my case was a cook book with contributions from the top people in the Heavy Metal world,called Mosh Potatoes....Bliss : )
