The cakes usually sold include cherry, Madeira, sultana, banana, lemon, carrot, ginger, plus border tarts; there are mainly kinds of scones fruit, cheese, treacle and soda for example. For bread there's wholemeal, granary, white, 'Moffat Tasty' to name but a few! There's a large range of handmade biscuits and muffins as well, including shortbread and parkins. The staff was super friendly and made our visit even more enjoyable. We purchased a few bars, cookies, hand pies and some scones. The prices were very reasonable. Every item was super fresh and extremely tasty. The cream filling in the pies was super creamy and rich. The filled cookies were amazing and I wished that I had more. The bars were irresistible and loaded with fresh fruits.

The bakery has been on Central Avenue for years and everyone goes here for dinner hence it can get really busy with long queues. My favourite sandwich has to be the cheese and onion, but I also really like the fresh salad ones aswell. The bread is always really fresh and everything is made on the premises. The prices are incredibly reasonable and can start at around 70p for their basic sandwich. This is brilliant as they are a lot fresher and nicer than pre pack sandwiches you can get in other shops. They are also renowned for their pies and can sell out quite quickly. The shop is quite small and there is loads of parking out the front. The staff are really friendly and know everyone as they have worked here for years.

But they also excel is pastrys and pies, cakes and bakes. The smell is lovely, and you can't walk past without going in and buying something. The window displays always have pretty cakes on display. Proces are reasonable - definately worth it for the quality.
