Secondhand Mutts saves dogs from high-risk situations like kill shelters or at-risk city and county shelters where their time has run out or the shelter is full. The staff and foster parents lovingly give these dogs the resources they need (socialization, medical attention, etc.) to give them the best chance possible at a full life. Earlier this year, I hosted a charity drive for Secondhand Mutts where the Yelp community collected a variety of collars, leashes, toys, treats, office supplies and other items to help Secondhand Mutts save more dogs and sustain office operations. Every person I met from Secondhand Mutts was kind, passionate and extremely hardworking and selfless. Their work is so admirable and when you donate to Secondhand Mutts, you know your donation is going as far as possible. I cannot thank everyone at Euclid Animal Shelter for helping us adopt our newest family members. We…read moreheard they had been very full lately and we were considering kittens because I had never raised an animal from an early stage. My only pet was a grown cat who adopted us. We fell in love with our kittens on our first visit, but they were not old enough to go home with us. Euclid Animal Shelter was so great, they let us visit them every weekend until we could take them home. They allowed us to put a deposit down to save them for us. One of babies was staying with a foster parent, so they even coordinated with her to come and visit with us when we were there. It was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. It was also the most affordable pet adoption I've ever heard of it, and it included their future neutering procedure. When I was leaving, they even gave me a little treat bag with a blanket, toys, and some food for our new family members. We could not be more thrilled with everyone and everything. The kittens are now home and they made themselves right at home right away. They were not scared or skittish like I expected. I can tell they were well taken care of for us! I will recommend them forever!!

Chewing furniture, jumping on people, poo-ing in the house, digging holes, etc. Every single one of those and more was a daily deal for me. I was referred to David by a friend of mine who claimed he did wonders with her pit. I was skeptical and didn't really want to put alot of money into training but after quite a few attempts at the Pet store training sessions with no results whatsoever I decided to sign up for David's training package. It took maybe 3-4 sessions when I saw some major changes. It was only after a couple sessions that I noticed a difference. Best part of it all is he came to my house. I didn't have to try and get my dog in a car and drive somewhere with him. That was a major pain with the pet store training sessions. However, now I am happy to say....all problems are gone and car rides are fun for us both. Definately recommend this training service to everyone.

I will always be grateful for them helping us find our new family friend! This shelter really does everything they can for all of their animals to keep them safe and healthy! They are incredibly hard working and committed to their animals in a loving and supportive way; whether it taking them to the vet at any time of the day or night to helping mother dogs birth their puppies, they are right there caring for them every step of the way! They go above and beyond to rescue animals and take in any stray/surrender they can! That's how they found Minnie. They do their best to find their animals homes that will take care of their needs as well as work with the new families in any needs they have. They really know each and every one of the animals they care for by their personality and interests. These staff members have a personal relationship with these animals instead of only knowing them by a number or "name". I honestly am very proud of all their hard work, their abilities to conquer through anything and admire their passionate hearts! 5 stars is not a high enough award that this rescue deserves as they clearly do 10 star and above work! I appreciate all the love they show both my pups (one from their rescue, and our older dog from another rescue) when we drop them off. They know their personalities and how to handle each of them. We used to have a family friend watch the dogs at home when we were out of town, so I was a bit nervous the first time we left them, but the staff made sure to let me know we could contact them to check on the dogs any time... and now my dogs are exited to go back and play when we are out of town.
