He was short and impatient…read morewith me, even though I sensed his impatience and purposely made sure my questions were worded with a soft and deferential tone. I had overheard parts of a conversation he had with another patient in an adjacent room, and how he acted with her, how his voice was less gruff and more understanding, was much different than how he was with me. I just happen to be a guy who's curious and wants to know as much as I can about a procedure--ESPECIALLY when someone is digging into my mouth and especially when the procedure is LIKELY to produce much discomfort. As a professional, a dentist should know that not all people are the same and he should really listen to what a patient is saying. I felt as if I were a number and not a person, someone to get in there and then get out to make room for the next patient. I'll find someone else next time (I hope there isn't a next time, but...).
