It has been a year now since our son began taking lessons from Beverly. We would have gladly written a review on day one...but selfishly, we have been wanting to keep Beverly all to ourselves since we do believe she not only THE MOST INCREDIBLE VIOLIN INSTRUCTOR, but an AMAZING, LOVELY human being as well! Our son, under the tutelage of a different instructor, was becoming very bored, uninspired, withering...to the point of wanting to quit! We feel like Beverly has been a gift to our entire family but specifically our son who has come to life like never before thanks to Beverly's instruction! She is not ashamed to expect excellence, practice, proper technique, commitment! She INSPIRES and doesn't accept laziness. Our 13 year old son has a very strong personality, very opinionated, stubborn...etc. I have been so blessed to see how Beverly has masterfully come alongside him, challenged him, going toe to toe in a sense but able to lead him professionally, with a strong yet tender, loving, fun style! Our son respects her immensely...which is quite a feat! She is a delight in every way, very funny, full of life and joy...she seems to see the best in all...so full of words of encouragement (yet not hesitant to offer correction)! This isn't just a job...she obviously loves what she does and has made the effort to connect with our son personally as well (which I know is her practice with all students)! I remember my son emphatically expressing when he got into the car after his first lesson, "That was so different Mom! I like her! She is so fun! She actually tells me what to do!!! Wow...I already feel like I am a better violinist!" And he was...after the first lesson!!!! We are thrilled with his progress after just a year! We really appreciate the fact that she gives her students opportunities to perform in the recital setting multiple times a year as well! We have seen our son's confidence go through the roof...he loves to play and loves to perform and loves to please Miss Beverly who has invested tremendously in him! We LOVE this woman...she is a gift to humanity! We wholeheartedly would recommend her to ALL interested violinist from beginner to expert!!! read more

Beverly is a very enthusiastic and professional violin teacher. My daughter has learned violin with her for only 10 months but she has made significant progress in this short period of time. My daughter had only been exposed to violin in her 5th grade orchestra, and then she stopped. However, she had decided to attend her high school orchestra right after she finished middle school. That meant that she had to catch up with other students who already have played for more than 3 years. Luckily we found Beverly. My daughter started her lessons in July, two months before she started high school. Beverly scheduled two lessons per week and tailored her teaching towards my daughter's learning style. Those months of lessons really payed off in terms of being able to join her orchestra smoothly! Over the following two months of learning, my daughter continued making progress in her orchestra, and as a soloist. We love Beverly so much and really appreciate her wonderful teaching. Our 9 year old daughter has been under the tutelage of Beverly since 2017. Beverly is wonderful to work with. She is flexible. Yet, she is empathetic to the young ones. However, don't misunderstand. She teaches correct technique, and the student will learn the right way as fast a pace as the student wishes to progress. But, she does it in a fun, patient way. I was very impressed each week I would journey to her studio and watch her work her magic on our daughter. I only wish our daughter had the discipline and understanding to comprehend how lucky she was to be learning the violin, and to be studying under Beverly. But alas, one can only press the little one so far, and she decided she was not in to violin even though she had learned tonnes. She decided to quit--but not due to Beverly! Thanks, Beverly. It's been a year since our daughter who is turning 9 years old takes violin lessons with Beverly. Beverly is super great working with kids, we had another teacher before Beverly but didn't work out was mainly because that teacher didn't know how to talk to younger kids, our daughter became almost frightened to talk to that teacher. But Beverly is always fun and enthusiastic, our daughter now is very motivated to go to her violin classes, talk even make fun with Beverly! Beverly's teaching style is a good balance of technical and musical. We will continue with Beverly for sure! I am very grateful I found Beverly! I took violin lessons as a child for a few years and for a year as an adult, but then life got busy.
