The facilites are suboptimal, too, but conveniences trumped that for the time we've been members. We've had enough of the attitude of the staff - in particular the swim instructors and lifeguards - and won't be returning. Strongly advise anyone considering a membership to look elsewhere, especially if you have kids. This is not a good environment for children.

Kenmont boasts 3 separate pools (Kids, main and lap pools), a basket ball, and 2 tennis courts. It also has a huge picnic area and 6-8 grills for the members. We do not have Mr. Patrick (gentlemen who used to sell snacks for the kids) but we have state-of the art vending machines ;-). There has been lots of facility upgrades such as the stairs going to the courts, new fans in the clubhouse, a filtered automatic water fountain, new led lights in the pool (nice during night swims). Kenmont also formed several committees such as the improvement committee, social, management liaison, etc. to respond and address the needs of the members. Communications to the members are timely and efficient. This pool rocks!

Why UDC does not offer admittance on generally to the public or, at least, on a registration basis (possibly for a small annual fee) is beyond me. I understand that priority should go to UDC students, but surely someone can come up with a more creative & better solution than simply locking up these five lovely courts so that no one can use them. For shame!

I went to a public university, and our tennis courts were available to the public. The tennis team reserved spots when they needed them, they didn't have them sit empty so residents couldn't enjoy them. They charge $250/year if you to pay to play on their courts. That's great if you're wealthy enough to pay $1,000 every 4 years, but it's sad when public courts can only be used by the wealthy.
