I saw this shop from Termini Tea Yard while I was working at this cafe and once I was done with my coffee decided to have a look. As there was a book store in the same building and floor, it seemed like a great plan. The book store turned out to be Chinese only books, to my frustration but when I went next door to Greenspot I quickly forgot about it!
This is such a cool space. It's nicely decorated as a garden looking space. I don't think much thought has been put into its deco actually but all the plants and pots give it its natural vibe. I went into the small balcony and had a look at their cactus plants. I love them and I think they make for a great deco in a small flat like mine. The lovely girl at the shop however warned me that what they are all about really it's their workshops on plant pot creation and arts (ABC Arts Center). So you just drop by and they teach you how to do creative pots with tainted salt and you get to sell them in their shop! How cool is that?!
But the greatest thing I found was the space they have devoted to painting and drawing: you pay around 120HKD for the blank canvas and you can use their space and materials for 3 to 4 hours. And surely, you keep your piece of art for yourself. For those creative minds out there: yeah, it's in the middle of Causeway Bay but fear not, their arts space is quiet and perfect if you need peace and inspiration.
Discovering places like these kind of make my day...if you are as silly as me, head over there! read more
