I didn't believe that I should pay her another $300 for contacting her to correct the mistakes that she had made, so I asked her to wave the fee or charge me less. As for putting her on small claims court, I did not loose the case. Vivian couldn't make it to the first court hearing and postpone the hearing. Small claims court asked if I wanted to dismiss the hearing after months of waiting for her to be available. I agreed to dismiss the case because I wanted to put everything behind me and start a brand new life not needing have to deal with this drama. I don't know where Vivian got the information that "I got what I wanted" after my court hearing because I did not. Child support was calculated based on both partners salary. The declaration she created was not useful in court because the judge only took a glance at the first page and did not base the child support due to what she had wrote. The judge even said this declaration is for a child custody case not necessary for a child support case.

The attorney has no office staff, and it can be difficult to reach them at times. Since we want our attorney to be there for us and our adult children when guidance is needed for estate responsibilities, we consulted Adam Evan to discuss our situation. Adam responded immediately, and was cordial and informative over several communications. It's clear that Adam makes every effort to be readily available when a client needs him, but we learned that moving our estate documents to him will require a new trust. Since I try to read and understand every document, to be sure it's what is intended, we're hesitating until I have the time to carefully read through the many pages of a new trust, but we are very impressed with Adam's background, experience, responsiveness, and integrity.

At the time we came across YouTube videos of Edmund explaining the benefits of a trust in simple terms that we were able to understand. For our family the most important aspect of building a trust is finding a law firm that aligns with our values. A law firm filled with individuals who we feel we can build a life-long relationship with. We finally committed to creating our Revocable Living Trust after battling some serious health issues. Quickly we realized that we were not looking for a law firm but rather a family. When I am gone I want my spouse and children to feel confident and comfortable knowing that the Tree of Life Law Firm will be there for them in their time of need. This gives me peace of mind. Building a Trust is not only about protecting your family's assets and privacy. Edmund taught us to view it as building a Legacy for your family that will last long after you are out of the picture. The Tree of Life Law Firm has our highest recommendation and we could not have found a better family to be a part of.
