I reached out to Blue Star Arborist to get a quote for pruning a few out-of-control citrus trees…read more It's been on my to-do list for awhile, and I finally had some time to deal with it today. Because it's Sunday, I didn't expect anyone to get back to me until Monday. Less than 30 minutes after requesting the quote through Yelp, my phone rang. I almost didn't pick up because it was a number I didn't recognize. To my surprise, it was Tyler from Blue Star replying to my quote request. He told me he was available to stop by in person the next day (Monday). I was impressed already. Had it not been for a miscommunication with family who already scheduled the gardener to deal with the trees, I would have been very happy to get Tyler's advice and quote. Although I cannot speak to the actual work this time, I will definitely keep Tyler's info for next time because of his speedy response on a Sunday, and for getting an in-person consult scheduled so quickly.

I was recommended Blue Star Arborist to help train a tree but am pretty disappointed with the work…read moredone. It was difficult to schedule an appointment but that's fine, work can be busy. When it was done, a stake was already broken by the I was able to check it at the property 5 days later. The thin metal pole also looked damaged in the middle, as if it was bent, then straightened back out. He returned 12 days later after apologizing for forgetting about coming to fix it and put a new stake in the ground. 5 months later, the thin plastic rope used for tensioning it has completely frayed and fallen apart in several places. It is effectively useless now unless I pay a service fee for him to fix it again. I was charged $260 for this service ($350 total with pruning) which seems high for the low quality work done. I was never given a price for what a service fee would cost me. Attached is a photo of the service. The stiff rope is just held in place on its own at the top. It is completely torn, no tension between the rope/pole support and tree Edit: Tyler reached out and kindly offered to redo the training.

They dug trenches that were needed to install fiber optic cable. This was no easy task. We have lots of boulders on our property in the mountains, so this took some planning, and his experience showed. One of my requests was not to damage the young fruit trees we planted in April 2025, and he honored our request. It is almost undetected where they trenched. They left the property how they found it (organic) and we appreciate that. Wyatt communicated well with us. He is experienced and does his job the old-fashioned way, with integrity and pride, and it shows. Wyatt and his crew went above and beyond, and it is noted. Good job, guys! He really takes pride in his work and it shows. The area for the culvert placement was a mess due to the heavy rain and snow from the winter. We really thought the culvert would take more than 1 day to complete but Wyatt said he could get it done in a day and he did. He had the proper equipment and the knowledge to do a fantastic job. We couldn't be happier with the job he and Isaiah did. We highly recommend his work. Customers for life!
