A+++++ I cannot…read morebelieve I had never been here before! I have passed it many times. This time I walked in and the place was packed, and now I completely understand why. It's like a whole little world of jewelry in there. Huge diverse selection. Like a factory you would see on TV. I came in specifically to have a piece of my vintage family jewelry repaired, and I was genuinely shocked by how easy the experience was. They did the repair ON SITE, in a matter of minutes, and for an exceptionally reasonable price. Story time: What made this experience even more impressive was that I had previously taken the same piece to another jeweler in the valley, where I was told they would need to keep it for two weeks to solder a loop and the repair would cost roughly three times as much. Because this is a valuable vintage piece, I just didn't feel comfortable leaving it there for that long, especially when there was supposedly a jeweler on site and what I was asking would take 10 minutes. Something about it didn't sit right with me, so I trusted my instincts and took the piece home. Then: A friend then recommended this place, and what a difference. Fast, straightforward, reasonably priced, valet parking and, most importantly when you're handing someone something valuable and irreplaceable, they made me feel completely comfortable! And insisted that what I was asking for was so simple. They did it in moment and cleaned the piece!!! I really appreciated the honesty and the fact that they didn't turn a simple repair into some complicated, expensive ordeal. I walked out with my jewelry repaired and back in my hands within minutes. So glad I finally discovered this Beverly Hills institution. I will absolutely be back. Thanks guys!

I had initially ordered two X shaped rings from a small local LA jewelry designer. Paid, confirmed, and was just awaiting the shipping. Two days before Christmas they canceled my order with no explanation. Very 2020. So, in a bit of a panic, I went on a hunt for a replacement and Anne Sisteron was able to get me two rings in a similar (and better) design next day for curb side covid safe pickup. (A quick note: I messaged AS after 5pm on Dec 22rd not expecting a response, but Brooke was able to chat with me about what was in stock and set up a call for me and Jennifer first thing in the morning!) We had just found out we're having a baby girl, so the XX idea was really important for me to pull off.... AS made it happen in the zero hour. Thanks so much for the great service, communication, and kindness! ! ! ! -r

I love pavé set diamonds as my personal style and that is her specialty! I saw the Scythe bracelet on social media somewhere and had to have it. It wasn't currently on the website so I reached out to them via email and was set up with the e-commerce manager, Brooke. She sent me the info and I was able to put in an order for a custom piece, ready in 4-6 weeks. Approximately 4 weeks later it was shipped to me via Fed-Ex signature two-day delivery. It was too big, so I reached out and they sent me a 2-day return label and resized it and sent it back within 1 day of receipt with tracking info provided. Unfortunately, the size was still off, so the process was repeated, again with 1 day turnaround after item was delivered back to them. Brooke was a consummate professional, saying they would make it right for me no matter what. They did! It's beautiful. I love it. It's a stunner and matches well with another fine jewelry piece I have from Tiffany and Co. This is going to be one of my go-to shops for sure. Excellent customer service, ownership and accountability, great communication, and beautiful diamond pieces! They also recently launched a loyalty program with specials and gifts for members! I'm located out of state but will make sure to visit the storefront when I am next in California.

What impressed me most was Tom's incredible attention to detail, creativity, and expertise in design and diamonds. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and transformed my original ring into something truly special that honors 35 years of marriage. Several members of my family have worked with Tom over the years and have always received outstanding service and beautiful results. So, when it came time for me to choose someone to redesign such an important and sentimental piece, I already knew I wanted the very best. Choosing Tom Jackels was absolutely the right decision. I did stop by once a couple of months back, and the experience was quite similar, so I decided to purchase online instead. This time, I was slapped again with such poor and rude customer service. I was checked in by Sean Chin, who came out with a huge smile, and once I said, "Oh, I know what I want. I would just like a Sweet Alhambra pendant," he automatically changed his welcoming attitude into absolutely ignoring my existence and doing the bare minimum. Yes, this pendant is just over $2,000, but I have spent way more with VC, and the fact that he is treating customers differently just because of the price mark, which, to be honest, is not a small price tag (especially if you're a girl boss treating yourself or your loved ones with your hard-earned money ;) ) shows that they are trained to treat customers differently based on the price tag. In the past, they would take me to a table, place the jewelry out, present different options, and talk about a piece, as honestly, each piece is pure art, but this time he tried showing me the necklace in the middle of the room, no table to place my belongings, literally just standing in the middle of the store with him holding the necklace in his hand, until I asked where can I place my water and bag... Such a shame that this poorly trained customer service is running such a beautiful name. VC really should consider investing in training. I definitely won't be trying this location for the third time and rather purchase online myself or drive to the Costa Mesa location.

We had a specific vision: a unique piece with subtle pink stones set into a hidden halo. Getting the exact color right turned out to be tricky, but instead of just settling, they worked with us and swapped out the original stones for ones that matched exactly what we were going for. That kind of patience and commitment to getting it perfect is rare. They also let us use our own diamond, which a lot of places won't do, and they built the setting around it beautifully. The finished ring came out even better than we imagined. Their prices are extremely fair too, which is extremely refreshing compared to some other shops in the area. Finally everyone in the store is fantastic and so nice. You never feel rushed or pressured, just genuinely taken care of. If you're looking for a custom piece (or great jewelry from people who actually care), this is the place. Five stars, easy. Thanks everyone so much! We will be back to design our wedding rings!

I can't tell you how many times over the…read morelast 4 decades I have gone to a mall jewelry store, then come to J R's and found out how badly the other stores were trying to rip me off. Jeff (and his staff) know more about diamonds than everyone else in the city combined. Over the years, I have probably made 50+ purchases at this business, with total confidence. I have saved thousands of dollars, but more importantly, since I TRUST them implicitly, it takes all the stress out of buying big ticket items. Every appraisal turns out to be accurate, and validated down the road. Jeff understands the market, and has TAUGHT me about VALUE for the majority of my life. I have never regretted anything I have invested my hard-earned money in here, even after following up and checking the competition. And this trust is also well-placed if I have something I want to sell. Jeff and his staff always give me the exact information and guidance that I need to make good decisions. My latest good decision is pictured here. A very special and unique diamond engagement ring, designed and created by J R's, based on my fiancé's heart's desire. It came out PERFECTLY. She was completely blown away, knees shaking with happiness when I opened the J R's jewelry box and revealed this gorgeous ring yesterday. And every person who has seen it so far is impressed if not overwhelmed. Of course, that is exactly what I wanted. I am so happy (way more than just "satisfied"), that I can't wait to come back to the store to show them how elegant it looks on her finger, and to show them her ear-to-ear smile, which hasn't lessened since the moment she saw it, and to express my undying appreciation. The people who work here actually care about me (and all their customers), and will absolutely share my joy. Take my word for it: Before you consider opening your pocketbook for an investment like this, you NEED Jeff (and co.) watching out for you.
