I haven't had a better baba-ganoush anywhere like what I had at this place. We ordered their lunch special as well a few dishes from the menu along with tea and loved them all. The staff was friendly and tried to help us around with their menu even though it was difficult for them to speak in english. The food was served beautifully on the table and we did repeat baba-ganoush as it was extraordinary. The vichyssoise is something I never had and would really recommend to tryout. Fun and friendly place serving delicious vegetarian food. The flavors they offer might not be available anywhere else. Must visit place for everyone no matter if you are a traveler or living nearby. You wouldn't be disappointed.

Our table was in the back room corner so one of us didn't get to experience looking around as much, but we enjoyed our quiet little dinner area. Service was timely, but not rushed. All of our menu choices were tasty and full of flavor. Our appetizer was the chickpea hummus with unusual but fantastic pita. It was more like a flat focaccia bread. So good! Our delightful dinner choices were the oyster mushroom shawarma with sweet potato fries, and the eggplant mille-feuille. Both were temperature hot, full of flavor, savory and all around excellent. So happy to find this vegetarian restaurant on our last night in town! Highly recommend! I previously ate at their sister restaurant Flax & Kale and found that experience to overshadow my time at Teresa Carles. I was definitely familiar with many of the overlapping menu items and decided to go with their rotating lunch special for that day's meal. I started with their gazpacho which was flavorful and a nice treat on a hot summer day. Afterwards I received my vegan kebab which I found a bit underwhelming. The pita felt too soft and there wasn't much of the actual soy meat they used compared to the condiments. It felt more like a TVP crumble on top of soft bread. I did enjoy the vegan pudding dessert to end the meal however. Since I was leaving on a flight, I did end up ordering one of their veggie burgers and fries to go, and I found that to be much tastier than the kebab that I had at the restaurant. Despite the 'okay' lunch, I still enjoyed the experience and am glad there's an extensive vegan scene here in the city.

(Between the three course lunches and the wine, I'm not sure how Spanish people get shit done on a daily basis; our work ethic definitely suffered). I got hummus with veggies for my first course; the blandest, oiliest tofu curry ever for my second course, and a refreshing soy yogurt with chocolate crunchies for my dessert. Boss lady had a delicious bowl of gazpacho (and nearly a week into our trip, with this local specialty comprising the backbone of my nutritional input, I was considering myself quite the connoisseur), millet-quinoa croquettes and (nonvegan) chocolate mousse. Check the website to confirm the hours because the Yelp hours weren't correct and we ended up coming about and hour and a half before they closed. We also shared the baked cauliflower, mushroom puffed pastry, the honey miso aubergine, and the goat cheese mixed greens. Every last dish was wonderfully seasoned and the flavors were AMAZING, in my opinion. The only thing that wasn't up my alley was the aubergine. This is no fault of the chef. I just am trying to love aubergine/eggplant but just haven't found a dish that makes me swoon. It's a texture thing I think.
