There's the usual lending and reference sections, and they have a video, DVD and music CD collection, as well as a special children's section and a small internet access section (for members only). Fees apply for videos, DVDs and CDs. Only members can take out books, but anyone can use the reference section. Being relatively small, the stock is a bit limited (especially the local history section) but is adequate for most people. My main use has been to borrow travel guides, of which there's a decent selection. It receives all the major daily newspapers, mostly read by a group of loyal pensioners who seem to go there every day. The library runs reading courses, has a reading group and once a week there's a toddlers' group called 'Baby Rhyme Time'. (I have no idea what goes on there!) The staff seem very pleasant, and there is a meeting room upstairs available for hire by community groups, seating up to 40 people. It's on the C1 bus route, and a few minutes' walk from the 328, 74 and C3 buses. Both Earl's Court and West Brompton stations are about ten minutes' walk away.

At one point of time (when we were there a few years back), the streets and the near by areas were not as heavily cordoned off as are now, for reasons obvious; one could still get a good glimpse. The gate (the picture posted) is where a person walking by at best can stand briefly and get a view, the right top side does mention that it's the "Downing Street". Enjoy when visiting London the next time!

Overview: a beautiful station, very big and can be confusing, many stores and food options…read more ---- I stayed a hostel 5 minutes away by walking and this station was so convenient. The architecture was so beautiful at any time of the day. The inside being quite beautiful as well, especially when you walk upstairs overlooking the Eurostar trains and see a couple different statues there. My favorite was the large one of the couple embracing. Platform 9 3/4 is located in this station, for Harry Potter fans, the cart is available during the day to take a picture with for a price, but after hours they remove it and you can still take pics and videos with it! During my stay they had free ice cream outside the station that was super yummy and a nice little treat to have before heading out in my way to the trains. Inside the station are lots of places to eat and has cheap, convenient food spots like Greggs, and nicer sit-down places as well. It can be a bit tough navigating through the station because it's so big (especially when using maps and trying to find places like restaurants inside of the station) but for the train areas just follow the signs and it's pretty self explanatory. They even have a piano for people to play for fun which was cool to see and hear. Scanning in and out of the station is also easy because all you need is a credit/debit card and you don't even need to purchase a ticket which is so much more convenient compared to places in the US or France. ---- Overall: a great station to stay near and to go to, easy-ish to navigate and lots of places to eat at, very beautiful station as well

It is a central area to get to places like Leicester Square, Chinatown, etc. Tons of giant, lighted, neon adverts adorn the area. It's like the London version of NYC's Times Square. It's exciting, frantic, busy, and a perfect spot for first-time visitors to London.

Piccadilly Circus was an area that I frequented a lot during my visit to London in December 2013. It is a touristy place. I liked it for a number of reasons. Piccadilly Circus tub station is under Piccadilly Circus. I took the underground to get to this touristy site. It was a cheap, efficient means to get to and from the area. The area feels like Times Square (New York), or Yonge and Dundas (Toronto) with brightly lit screens and signs. You then realize that Piccadilly Circus established illuminated, giant advertisements since the early 20th century. What's special about Piccadilly Circus is that it's a junction where Piccadilly, Regent Street, Shaftesbury Avenue, the Haymarket, Coventry Street, and Glasshouse Street meet. Circus in the name doesn't mean seeing clowns and acrobats. Rather, it means a circle or roundabout. It makes sense when you see the statue of Anteros, which is also known as Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain. It gives you a good look at how the streets comprise this junction. Piccadilly Circus is close to these touristy spots: - M&M's World - Chinatown - Soho - Theatre district - Oxford Street (shopping) - Hop-on, hop-off stops Gone are these places that I enjoyed visiting: - Ripley's Believe It or Not - Angus Steak House I'm an M&M's fan, so I visited this place three times. I loved it so much! Shopping was great. You can find everything from phone accessories (I still travel with a USB cable with three different charging tips that I bought in London) to weed edibles. I liked the eclectic variety that was eye-opening at the time. I remember that there was a small winter fair at a park that I had visited nearby. I don't remember the name of the park or the fair. What I do remember is enjoying banoffee fudge for the first time. So good! It was fun being in this area. I'd love to go back and see how things have changed. If you've never been to Piccadilly Circus before, I recommend going at least once. (44)

I don't believe that too many English people actually live in this neighborhood, as the homes are insanely expensive and the streets can get quite touristy. There are often street fairs, festivals, and farmers markets on these streets, so if you go during the day, especially on a Saturday, you're likely to run into something extra fun happening.

There are a variety of little shops and a regular farmers market (although it's not must on days other than Saturday). Overall, it's a fun visit if you'd like to step away from the busy city and see some cute sights, but I wouldn't put it on the list as an absolute must visit.

I came here to take the EMR to Luton airport along with the DART. The train itself arrived and left on time. There were also many shops inside the station and I could not help but stop in all of them. The only thing about a popular station is the fact that there are a lot of pick-pockets.
