If you…read morewere looking for the fun hallmark vibe to go get your Christmas tree with your family this is it. They have hot chocolate, cider, coffee and some candy canes. They also have wreathes you can purchase. You have your choice of going on a fun little ride to go cut your own tree down or you can choose one that is already cut. Either way this place is amazing. We would come here even if we weren't getting a tree. If you decide to take a ride to cut your own tree, they put it on the tractor for you then when you arrive, they shake it and wrap it up for you and get it ready for you to take home. Wonderful service! We moved away and we drove out just to go to this place. I save you're looking for a place to call home when it comes to getting your Christmas trees. This is the one!

Thankfully we had some help locating the size and shape we were interested in and our girls got to see all the sizes of trees before we used the provided saw to cut ours. Unfortunately our tree was large enough and far away which made it difficult with the freezing winds, to actually push the tree all the way back up to the barn, alone. The friendly crew saw we were struggling and literally ran down the hill to our side and helped push the cart for us. It allowed our kids to get out of the cray strong winds we had the night of our visit. Once selected they shook, trimmed, and drilled our tree for us! This was much nicer service, nicer tree, and supporting our local washougal businesses and families which all are a win. The tree still looks beautiful and our family enjoyed the barn photo ops once warmed up and out of the cold. We will be back next year!

Absolutely incredible, enchanting nursery! OMG, I am in love! They have all the norms - annuals,…read moreperennials, veggies, herbs, roses, shrubs, trees - but the variety within each is like nothing I have ever seen before. So unique! The plants are healthy and thriving. I wanted everything! Gerbera daisies are one of my favorite flowers. With their bright colors of yellow, orange, red and pink, they remind me of happy faces and I always plant them in my containers. In winter months, I buy bouquets to brighten up my space. Typically I buy the yellows and oranges, which I call sunshine colors. At Good News Gardening, they had a variety that I had never seen; the petals were much thinner and in abundance, adding so much texture and whimsy. Even though the tag said Gerbera, I had to ask one of the ladies working there if it was, indeed, a Gerbera Daisy! Next year, this is where I will buy them, no question. As I wandered around, I noticed every section had unique varietals. The dahlias were the size of a dinner plate and the colors of peach, yellow, white and pink in one flower stopped me in my tracks. Only to be outdone by the vibrant orange and white striped variety. In the herb section, options are boundless. At least a dozen types of oregano. Spicy Italian oregano? Yes, please! Dozens of types of mint (plant only in a contained area) and so many varieties of basil. More types of lettuce and tomatoes than I had ever heard of or eaten. This incredulous reaction occurred in every area that I visited. I have been gardening for 40 years and today I learned so much! Wow. Inside they have houseplants and a huge section of seeds. I'm totally into Oregon wildflowers like the delicate blue cornflower, bright orange California poppy, yellow & orange milkweed and yarrow to name a few. They had seed packets of each or mixed. Lots of seeds for veggies, too. The section was extensive! When you are inside you will be serenaded by the dozens of little birds that found their way in and are sitting on the poles or in the rafters singing their songs! Everyone here is happy, and who wouldn't be?! Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. They genuinely love what they do and are so knowledgeable. They don't just want to sell you something, they want what you purchase to grow and thrive. Shout out to Maria who shared my love for that incredible Gerbera Daisy and showed me all the different colors it came in. Prices are a bit higher but the quality and uniqueness makes it totally worth it. Next year, I will head directly here without even stopping anywhere else. With my limited amount of space for flowers, I only want the best and unique!

Apple Green is a gift store filled with lots of beautiful and unique paper goods and greeting cards…read moreas well as gift items. Currently they have lots of holiday items such as nostalgic bottle brush Christmas trees, glass ornaments and Knick knacks. The store is delicious, like a well decorated cake! Everything thoughtfully curated and displayed. There are so many small items that one really needs to navigate slowly, even take a second loop around so that you don't miss anything. Succulents have been all the rage the last few years and they have a bakers rack filled with them in small pots of different shapes and colors. A gift that anyone would enjoy receiving or to decorate your own home. They were a bit on the expensive side but at the same time, the pots were cute. My Christmas colors are silver and white and I have many silver reindeer on display. Amongst the stickers, I found a pack of glittery reindeer stickers for $10 that I just had to have! They will adorn table place setting or Homemade Christmas cards, and fit right in with my theme. Will stop here again next time I'm in Hood River, for sure.

A Dream Wedding Venue with Amazing Owners!…read more We had our daughter's wedding at Redland Family Farm, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful or accommodating venue. From the start, Adelle and Tim were so patient and helpful, even with the many questions and requests we threw their way. They always responded with kindness and made the entire process so much easier for us. They went above and beyond on the wedding day--Adelle even helped turn simple cheesecloth into gorgeous curtains, creating a warm and romantic entryway for the bride and groom. The venue itself is stunning, with two separate suites for the bride and groom to get ready, a large parking lot for guests, onsite staff to assist throughout the day, and the most breathtaking oak tree and sunset views you could imagine. Adelle and Tim are such a wonderful couple to work with, and their property is truly a gem. If you're looking for a venue that combines natural beauty with caring, hands-on owners, Redland Family Farm is the perfect choice!

You can tell it's a family-run space, and that makes all the difference. We got married on a chilly summer solstice day with unexpected rain, and Tim was constantly stoking the fires to keep everyone warm and cozy. Even with the weather, there were so many beautiful, usable spaces for our guests to enjoy. The property is breathtaking in every direction, rain or shine! Adele and Tim were the kindest, most accommodating hosts. The whole day felt warm, welcoming, and so well supported. If you're looking for a venue that's as thoughtful as it is gorgeous, this is it. We are so grateful we chose Redland Family Farm - it was the best decision we made, and we would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat!
