The Herbal Foundations Program was phenomenal! I have my own business and it was very difficult to find an intro to herbs program and still have time to work. Luckily, I found this program and the pace of the program was perfect. It is a year long program that meets one saturday a month so that was enough time to do the reading and or watch the video, digest the lessons and be prepared for class. The program is comprehensive and a great introduction to herb preparations. I have been growing my own calendula and didn't know how to use it properly. After taking the course, I learned to used it in different preparations such as a salve for rashes, an oil infusion and in teas. I felt very empowered knowing how to use the herb that I grew and learning more skills on how to be self-sufficient and how to heal naturally. Watching the magic of nature gift us with life and true healing is such a blessing. This class, brings you back to nature and back to that reverence like those before us used to do. Being new to the use of herbs, I was nervous as to how I would do in the class, however, Elaine and John explained the topics very thoroughly. They are open to all of our questions and direct us to other sources for further study which is important to grow in your knowledge of herbs and the body's use of them. I had wanted to take the Herbalist Certificate Program ever since I became aware of it, but had to wait for retirement. It was everything I hoped for and more. The course was such a great value, and I learned so much! The instructors were wonderful, most especially Elaine and John. It was so great to meet and learn from so many different and knowledgeable people. I felt supported and encouraged the whole time. I was a little concerned about taking the course entirely online, but the curriculum and the instructors made it so easy and natural to do so. I'm only sorry that I missed the field trips. Taking this program was the best gift I've ever given myself. Had this course been available to me sooner, it could have changed the direction of my life for the better. I am going to see my best friend, who's a therapist, in a few weeks. She's expressed an interest in flower essences and aromatherapy, so I'm going to recommend this course to her. I think it would be a great addition to her existing practice. I already miss my weekly fix of Materia Medica and the incredible community that I've met, but I look forward to furthering my education and embarking upon the wonderful adventure of being an herbalist. For me the best thing about this course has been learning how to make good medicine and knowing how to use it to improve my health. This course can truly change lives. Green Path Herb School is truly fantastic. I have had the pleasure of taking their Herbal Foundations and Herbalist Certificate programs, which were both absolutely amazing. Elaine and John are so passionate, kind, and knowledgeable, each with decades of experience. Their HF program is superb for the beginner or home herbalist wanting to gain more knowledge in the craft, while the HC program is designed perfectly for those wanting to pursue it professionally (or those who simply want to take their knowledge a step further). The instructors that Elaine and John chose for the HC program's classes are all amazing and very thoughtfully selected. This program provides students with a thorough and comprehensive education, and I feel that it's a catapult into clinical herbalism for those who are interested in taking that path. It's also fantastic for those pursuing herbal education, retail, and various other enterprises. The program even includes multiple classes in herbal business skills, so it's great for those with an entrepreneurial spirit (and if not, the program provides valuable knowledge for yourself and loved ones nonetheless). I learned so much in the Herbal Foundations Certificate Program. I went in as a beginner and am leaving with extensive knowledge of herbs, wildcrafting, and medicine making. As someone who enjoys hiking and foraging, I am so much more confident in my plant identification around Montana and I've also been able to introduce new plants into my own garden. Elaine and John gave me the confidence to try my hand at making salves, oils, tinctures, and teas. The Herbalist Certificate Program gave me more than I could have asked for! I enrolled in this course with the intent to learn how to care for myself better, after recieving a new medical diagnosis. Herbal Care for Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum Health An excellent introduction to a world of traditional knowledge. I had no prior experience with herbs, and motivated by a recent pregnancy, I signed up for this class and was immediately and pleasantly surprised. This class is taught through engaging discussions and numerous opportunities to perform live demos of the practices being taught. Elaine and John are both incredibly knowledgeable and able to thoroughly answer questions with any level student. My only regret is that I did not take this class before my pregnancy. read more

This program is so great! John and Elaine are wonderful people and have set up an amazing program designed for success. I wasn't sure what to expect going into the program and I came out with so much more knowledge than I could've hoped for!
