This is the store that is run by the same family who owns the Lost Mines of Atlantis. They took over the business two years ago. If you are gem mining this is where you pay for your bucket. Although the small building looks unassuming from the outside, inside is a trove of treasures. I haven't seen so many different gem stones since I visited the Museum of Natural History in NY. My favorite discovery here was the blue and purple kyanite. It's almost like visiting a museum except you can buy whatever you like. They also carry dream catchers, bric-a-brac, home decor, shells, wind spinners, crystals, incense, and wood carvings to name just a few of their items. The store is packed from floor to ceiling. If you are in the Sebring area the Green Man is definitely worth stopping for. I had a very nice visit with the owners daughter Brittney who showed me around the shop. *** I read the review regarding the bad experience another yelper had and must I say this guy will not give you the spoiled baby customer service people are used to. I work for customer service for a big company and understand where that person came from, however being an understanding adult will get you along just fine. He's a good guy and willing to help, engages with you and wants you to have a good time. He literally enjoys the mining with you and is always interested on what you found and will help you identify those finds. Now to the actual review.*** The Green Man's Curio Shop is by far the biggest metaphysical store I have been in. This store has a nice selection of most everything you might need. I found a couple of singing bowls with one in particular being a gigantic crystal bowl with a strong and resonant sound. With all these shops there's always a large amount of crystals to choose from not really much to say on this as most shops have the same. The one unique thing I found was a selection of Egyptian theme articles, from crystal scarabs to little statues and sarcophagus always nice to find something different. As noted from this shop and others we have the same things like incense, candles, witchcraft and herb materials. A lot of home decorations like small statues and garden decorations. There's a selection of magical decorated notebooks and clothing items like robes. Now regarding the Lost mines of Atlantis, which is part of the same business. The $55 crystal bucket will not let you down. Nice to pair it with the $25 Crystal Bucket if you are two people or a couple as you can share. Please read the website regarding the mining terms before coming, the things to know would not be pleasant as a surprise and this is a very unique place to ruin any experiences. The new owners of the Green Man Curio Shop are very friendly and helpful. The shop has amazing and interesting things, everytime I go they have something new. I've spend hours there and I can't get through everything they have. My kids enjoy visiting The Lost Mines of Atlantis for gems and rocks. Just left this boutique right now, or should I say my family got kicked out. Crappiest experience ever. Apparently the guy runs both the store and the mining side by himself on a busy Saturday. So a family that came in in front of us wanted to mine, so he announced a "3 minute countdown" to everyone and that he would have to close shop to go get these people started. Sure enough on 3 minutes he announces he is closing and proceeds to ask everyone to leave. Now mind you there were 5 people in my family, 2 couples, and an older lady (10 freaking people). We might have been in there for 5 or so minutes. Complete waste of time. Seems like a foolish business decision to risk losing sales by closing your shop like this. I had intention of buying a lantern, and some incense but never even had the chance. It's unfortunate because this shop has some cool stuff, but way to make your potential customers feel unappreciated. read more
