In Davis, where I went to school, is a great salad and sandwich restaurant called Plutos. I love it…read morebecause you can design your own salads and have the staff arm it right in front of you. When I got to Santiago I was in serious need of a Plutos' style meal and my friend mentioned Oh! Salad Garden. I had seen them around (usually wherever a Starbucks is a Oh! Salad is right next to them, so I thought it was a McDonald's style chain restaurant. However, I was wrong! When I walked in one day, I realized it was very similar to Plutos. You pick your greens and bring it over to the cook who adds any type of ingredient you are looking for: beans, crutons, carrots, cous cous etc Just like in Plutos, for those who are meat lovers, you can add your choice of grilled chicken or ham. If you are not in a salad mood (although these salads are very filling) they have sandwiches and soups - you can even add these options to your salad to make a big meal. Oh! Salad also does delivery (you can order online) although I would recommend going because it is fun to see what ingredients they have, you might be inspired to try something new!
