Just had the memorial and cremation of my aunt... they were very accommodating, patient and reasonable. Explained the options available to me and guided me all the way. It was a pleasant experience on a very difficult moment.. made everything easy and smooth for me. My ex husband died suddenly in his home. My daughter was at the hospital with her young daughter who was getting a tumor removed. Green funeral home had went to pick up the body but when they found out he had no money they left him there all day. They called me and said the charge to just cremate the body and put the ashes in a box would be over 4000 dollars. My daughter and her husband are already facing huge medical bills. I asked if they could make payments..NOPE!! Had to be paid up front or they would not pick up the body. We called around and got him cremated for under $1000. . I found Green Funeral Home (now Dignity) to be judgemental in attitude I experienced no compassion when dealing with them after a beloved family matriarch's death. There was a lot of silence and judgement but no empathy or kindness at all. A liitle show of compassion would go a long way. read more

If you use The Green Funeral Home and care about the details of a funeral for a loved one, be prepared to double check the details yourself. It doesn't matter how upset or distracted you are; it's your job to double check. Don't trust Green to do it. They let our family down twice! Stupidly after the first debacle we believed their promise to do better on the second funeral. Not only did they fail to follow through on important details; they failed to rectify them midstream when they had the chance. The staff was also pushy and officious--do not let them push you around; this is your family funeral--not theirs. read more

In reading some of these reviews I started to question if there was a second Green Funeral Home. They handled both of my parents as well as 3 other members of our family and I could not have been more pleased with their attention to detail... right down to honoring my request that my mom have a professional manicure.... They were compassionate, understanding and never tried to push me into buying upgrades etc. They listened to what I wanted to do and did it!!! read more

The staff at Green went above and beyond helping us with the arrangements and the grieving process. They handled the arrangements, managed the process. They were caring and sensitive to our feelings without that false sense of sympathy that is so phony and annoying.
