Don't bother. Expensive, $35 on aSunday evening with a senior discount. The fairways were as hard as a rock. Don't waste your money.

The Bavarian Inn Lodge has plenty, plenty, plenty to do for the whole family! If you have kids,…read morethey will absolutely love this place. There are multiple pools, including an adults-only pool for those looking to relax, a fun indoor waterpark, an arcade packed with games, a sweets shop, several restaurants, and even a ferry ride nearby. There's so much to do that it's easy to spend an entire weekend without running out of activities. Whether you're looking for a family getaway or just a relaxing weekend, the Bavarian Inn Lodge offers something for everyone. We had a great time. They also have an area that you can walk to and watch the Peacocks. As far as the rooms, they are okay. The restroom is tight, with the toilets sitting inches from the shower. Rooms are spacious but smelled a little musky. Luckily, we were able to open up the window. Once we did that it smelled a little better. I think it may be from folks walking around wet and dripping on the carpet.

UPDATE: 6/26 - My child developed DOUBLE pink-eye after visiting this water park!!!…read more To the manager that replied: Yes, I spoke to two different ladies. the first young lady was the one giggling and laughing and asking about beer orders. The second time I called, I ASKED to speak to a manager and was switched over, so of course she didn't hear the laughter or giggling I heard. The trip started off fairly well, until around dinner time! We waited over an hour and 15 minutes for dinner after the automated system said 20-40 minutes. When I did call, I was met with laughter on the other line and was told, "we're understaffed - but are you the room that ordered all the beer?" "Nope. Definitely not. We have kids in tow and we do not drink. Me and my family are STILL waiting for food..." To which she laughed again, said they were understaffed and claimed the young lady hauling food was on the floor and would be "right there". 15 minutes later, I called again and they removed the food from our bill - which I appreciated, but also hated having to ask for - AGAIN. Also, asking me about an 'order' because the staff was already taking too long seemed borderline inappropriate. That being said, my kiddos are both 7, one chose this waterpark as her birthday venue, and everyone had a fun time. (It's a tad frustrating that check-in is so late and in order to get INTO the water park, with the most slides that is, you had to pay extra. So, anyone who pays for just the park gets in earlier technically. Which again, is a tad annoying. You pay more to stay and then pay even more to play. The lazy river, the family raft ride and the outside hot tub were their favorites to play around in a there are a few inside we didn't even check out. The breakfast/dinner/game time coupons and cards were all pretty nifty and we used every single one of them. It is a bit misleading that the place to enjoy dinner is the 'Bavarian Inn Restaurant' and is not attached to the hotel in any way and says it closes at 8:00. We booked it there to arrive in time for a dinner only to see them seating people at 8:55. All of our issues revolved around meals/food, and younger staff members just joking around when you try to ask questions, but overall - my kiddos had a great time and that was the goal.

She was really busy keeping all the food refilled and the food area and dining tables clean. Doing a great job and very pleasant as well. The pool looked nice and very clean. I wasn't planning to use the pool but it did look inviting. This is a convenient location, easy to find just off the interstate.

We were out in Frankenmuth, Michigan to visit all the holiday stores there ... and it was so busy…read morewe had to stay just out of the downtown in a little area called Birch Run ... sort of like a suburb of Frankenmuth. Located just 5 or 10 miles from Frankenmuth, this was ideal and just minutes away. This was a newish Holiday Inn Express and was just fine for our purposes. The front desk greeted us warmly when we arrived, checked us in with no hitches, and we were all set. The place was reasonably clean, the lobby area pretty small but sufficient, and they had a nice pool for anyone looking for that. The next morning we patronized the little breakfast room and the food items they offered were just perfect. The staff operating the breakfast room replenished the foods regularly, making for fresh and hot choices. The prices here are more family friendly than those in the Frankenmuth downtown area. The bedding was nice and the beds were perfectly adequate for a short visit. Nice experience here, and we'd not hesitate to stay again when we return.

Checking in was slow with no one being at the front desk. After walking around the lobby, sayin hello behind the counter and finally calling the desk someone came out from the back. We had multiple issues with this during the first day of our stay when needed bedding for the couch and towels for the pool. Other than the first day the experience was good. The kids loved the pool. The gym is small but well equipped. The tvs don't work in the gym either so bring your own device. The breakfast had a great selection each morning and they did a great job of keeping it stocked.

This was our first time staying here. We actually selected this hotel over another local chain…read more Upon arrival we were told that they are remodeling but they put us in a remodeled room. That room was dirty and clearly not finished. The door to the work room was also across the hall and open. There were tools and supplies everywhere and it was quite messy. The hall carpets contained dust. The elevator was usable but covered with moving blankets. Notes were posted about the delicate state of the elevator and that it could take two hours if you were stuck inside. They moved us to another room and that room was definitely better. However the sink pipe leaked (good thing we had two small trash cans). The shower rod was uneven so the curtain leaked on the floor. We had to ask for linens for the sofa bed and an extra towel. Also, I'd like to see more outlets in the bedroom. Overall the quality of the remodel looks a little shabby. Hopefully they get their act together.

I decided at the last minute to come up here because there was a scrapbooking convention going on,…read moreand I figured since the weather's still nice, I would cruise up to Birch Run and hang out for a little bit. The place was easy to find, but I did pass it the first time around because I missed the driveway as I passed it. It kind of snuck up on me! Anyways, when I got there, it was slightly smaller then I had anticipated, and was rather dated. I didn't expect much for Birch Run, but it is Birch Run. I mean, I know a lot of people may not live here, but it is kind of a destination and attracts a lot of people with the shopping and Frankenmuth being right down the street. Needless to say, I was slightly dissapointed and expected something slightly more modern and up to date. The place itself is not terribly big, but not small either. They seem to do a lot of smaller events, and the layout was okay. Can I emphasize how dated this place is? I felt like it was something out of the early 1980's with the red railings and probably could use a few updates. I wasn't expecting something the size of Cobo Hall, but I was hoping it would be in better shape. Parking was ample and they had restrooms throughout. The line went out the door for tickets by the time I was done shopping, and it seemed a bit clustery. I would go here again if I was in the area and there was an attraction being held here that I was interested in (like the scrapbooking convention going on.) the entrance is directly across from the Birch Run entrance and near Tony's off I-75.

It's an expo center. Nothing special about it, but nothing terribly bad either…read more Tables that are put out for shows are really worn out and chipped up, but the rest is good.
