Nobody in the gym was wearing masks accept the employee. Fist and last time here! Other locations are not much better. GreatLIFE appears to be in covid denial as our hospitals in Sioux Falls are overwhelmed. And we are stuck in a contract with them!!

Not happy with HOTWORX cancellation policy and communication on the policy…read more I signed up for my membership middle of November 2023. When I signed up I was told it was a 3 month commitment. Since I signed up middle-late November my full three months didn't start untill December and went through February 2024. I ended up getting pregnant in that time being and found out early February so I planned to cancel my membership end of February. I called the studio end of February and they told me that " the three month commitment didn't start Untill after my first full payment" so January technically, which is silly then just say it's a 4 month commitment, that didn't make sense. So I asked if there was any other way out of it since I am pregnant and cannot do hot workouts. She told me I could cancel on the spot for $50 dollars ( which is what I pay a month already) so just told her either way I'm going to pay 50 dollars so I'll just do my 4th month, whatever. She said she will put in there I want to cancel and all I had to do was come into the store in the month of March to sign a paper saying I was canceling. So knowing that information I was in no rush to get out there to sign the paper cause that's all that needed to be done. I went in today March 30th, to sign my document and they are telling me it's a month notice and I will have to pay for the month of April as well. I told them I called end of February and was told all I had to do was sign the document within the month, which I did. The guy helping me said either way I " wasn't losing out, cause of the commitment I would have had to do April anyways" I argued back that I have been here four months plus some now and got agitated cause of the lack of communication at this place. So now my 3 month commitment turned into 5 months and I haven't even been able to workout there since the end of January. I am not happy with this place or the workers and the lack of communication, I will not be returning any business to Hotworx in the future.

The staff was friendly. I opine that the machines could be laid out a bit more effectively for individuals going machine to machine for a lower or upper body workout - I realize that the space is the space and machines are not small so perhaps this isn't possible. My other input is to level up more of the Matrix weight lifting machines. I will enjoy this Planet Fitness going forward!

They do not like kids anywhere near the facility, if you are a family, DO NOT join here. One of the staff members traumatized my 5 year old daughter by yelling at her saying she is not allowed to be with me in the locker room and we need to get the heck out now! She started to cry. I addressed it with the director and she said "I'm sorry you didn't know any better!" I told her it wasn't the issue of me even knowing after 2 years but how the staff yelled directly at my 5 yr old, she proceeded to say " we are not a family friendly facility, you should know this!"
