We are new to New York so we relied on Yelp to find a good vet close to our apartment. He's received his annual exam here as well as vaccinations. They were very patient and willing to work with us on the vaccines because we had to space them out for budget reasons. They include a complimentary nail clipping with the annual exam, which was very handy because our baby is a monster when we try to do it. I had to request copies of medical records and receipts a couple times and they've always been very quick and accommodating. The staff are all very kind and knowledgeable. They even called to check in after they got word we had to go to the puppy ER for a swallowed chicken bone. We are very relieved to have found such a good vet; we definitely plan on staying with them for the long term!

My biggest gripe lately though is that as of 1/1/26, they will no longer fill 3rd party pharmacy orders - so if you order from Chewy or elsewhere you have to physically go into the office to pick up the script to then send to your 3rd party. They've purposely made it so inconvenient that they know most people will end up ordering from their online pharmacy - which I guess is fine because the prices are competitive but as someone who really likes supporting Chewy, it is a huge bummer and made my life very inconvenient as we live nearly 20 minutes away. We still drive here because we like the office so much, but having to drive up also pick up scripts is a huge hassle.

Before this month, my little dude Hector had been to a vet once in his life, only to get told that…read morethey weren't bunny experts, after they took my money. He had been relatively healthy up until this point, where five years later I had to scramble to find anyone has studied rabbits. Thankfully my fellow bunny mama suggested Northtown. They were quick to answer the phone, and when they heard that he was not doing well made a strong effort to get him in as soon as possible. It meant going in at 7pm at night, which worked with my day job hours. Thankfully there was a cancellation and we were able to be seen only a few minutes after arriving early for paperwork. The room is basic and clean, with a seat for the humans and a table for the pets. Hector is a feisty one, and the women were up for the challenge of scooping him out of his carrier for testing. Through temperature taking and weighing and observation he was handled gently. They ask a lot of questions to make sure that they give the proper care. We were given medication with thorough instructions and demonstration so that we would feel comfortable administering it on our own at home. The doctor welcomed all our questions and asked us to come back in two weeks to check his progress. Our appointment did have to get rescheduled to make sure that the bunny expert was on duty, and they had remembered our scheduling preferences so that they could hold the next available appointment until I called back in the morning. When we came back, waiting by the relaxing koi pond, the front desk let us check in from a distance so that we could relax after the car ride over. Again we were seen promptly and the team took great care to try to make things easy on him while still being thorough. They did decide to add a medicine for a separate issue and discussed what our options were before sending us off with another demonstration. Throughout this process, they have always been available and care about what is best for Hector. They even called the next day after his appointment to check up on him, though I was too busy working to answer. It is an immense relief to know that I now have a place that is affordable, reliable and genuinely cares about my boy. Two paws up!

So the next day I went to a specialist in depew they told me that he only had a bacterial infection and that his eyes were going to be perfectly fine. So tell me this after all said and done and when I call Kenton animal clinic that they tell me that there's nothing they can do that the doctor was in the right to tell me that they were going to take his eyes? Do you think that that was the right thing to do to leave a woman crying profusely out of an animal clinic telling her that her dog will be blind the rest of its life or do you think it would have been more appropriate to say that could be the outcome but go see the specialist first? I am very disappointed I will never go back to that clinic as long as I live. If your dog goes there I would find a new clinic because you might be in the same boat as I am in the future. Why is it that no one cares anymore about people or their pets!
