To be blunt, by US standards we are looking at probably three stars (at best) and they would have trouble surviving. On the island, fried chicken is one of the great foods that is lacking and the best is probably what you can get from a late night kebab house. By island standards, it probably earns a Michelin star, or at least four stars. The chicken itself is more KFC original recipe style, breaded and tasty but not crispy (which is my preference). The chicken is actually pretty high quality and meaty and the breading is nice if you are not looking for crispy (and good otherwise, hence I ate four pieces). Chips are typical fast food frozen fries, they won't make you forgot McDonalds but you'll finish them. The restaurant itself is clean and bright though with limited seating, so much nicer than the KFC around the corner. Overall, a good place to get your fried chicken fix and a nice place to have a meal.

The decor is humble much like the food which is cooked simply over a flamed grill. Simple is best when it comes to cooking chicken and these guys do it right. The prices are very reasonable and the food ranges from a peri peri chicken Caesar salad to lamb chops to burgers an falafel. The fries are good with a nice spice on them and there are other sides such as grilled corn on the cob, hummus ( very good and you should order an extra pita bread) or chicken wings. They are one of the few places to do a loyalty card on the Isle of Man so every ten meals you get one free. Believe me its easy to rack up a free chicken as once you go there you will go again! If you are in a rush and call them you can preorder your lunch so it is ready when you arrive. The staff are friendly and happy to have a chat with you. If something is not right or you need something then just ask them and they will do it if they can. Definitely worth a visit when you come to the isle of man.

The speciality is pizza and it's done really well - better than most takeaways. They also deliver to a wide area. They also do calzone pizzas (one of my personal favourites) and will generally make up whatever you request. Prices are very reasonable and turnaround times are fast. Pop's also owns the fish and chip shop next door. Here you will get a very very generous portion of chips along with your freshly caught fish - you simply can't beat it. No excuse to go hungry in Seascale any more!!

They do all the usual fast food/'junk food' that McDonalds is known for - burgers, chips, chicken nuggets and fizzy drinks - at fairly reasonable prices. They have also made moves to become a bit healthier over the last couple of years though, which is great - you can now also get salads, deli sandwiches, fresh fruit portions, carrot sticks and fruit juice. It's really good to have the healthier options alongside the usual stuff. They have an upstairs floor too so you can watch the world go by out of the upstairs windows, and cater for childrens parties upstairs too. This restaurant has recently had a makeover, and is done out in funny khaki and orange coloursit isn't to my taste, and everyone I've spoken to thinks it looks better before! They've gone for a very modern funky look but it can make your eyes hurt after a while. For reasons known only to McDonalds, they've also taken out some of the smaller tables and added one big long table by the counter - great for big groups, but it means you often end up having to sit right next to a stranger if there are no smaller tables free. Unfortunately also, this branch is a bit of a magnet for screaming teenagers and 'chavs', who like to congregate outside at the weekends. Can highly recommend visiting this restaurant and if you have had bad experiences in the past like i have,forget them because its like a different restaurant lately!!!
