I came in for some very frustrating back and radiating nerve pain due to a herniated disc in my neck. Before starting my treatment we sat down and methodically discussed my situation. I could immediately tell Dr. Vanessa has deep knowledge about her field and cares about her patients on a level that most healthcare professionals simply don't. That became even more evident after noticing she was even open to texting me after hours about my case. I'm middle aged, have many years of experience with all kinds of doctors, and have rarely if ever seen this kind of personal attention from a medical professional. What I didn't expect was that Dr. Vanessa actually ended up becoming my advocate and "home base" for dealing with and recommending other providers for my situation: GP, physical therapy, MRI scan, neurologist, pain management doc, and medication advice. She was the one I always came back to for advice regarding all of this. She put me at ease and acknowledged what I was going through. It's so rare to feel you have a true ally, dare I use the word friend, in the professional field when you're going through something difficult. Dr. Vanessa likes to take a whole-body and whole-lifestyle approach when treating your problem. It's not just about the one thing you're coming in for. Instead of being treated with compassion or professionalism, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude from the receptionist. After explaining my situation, I was told in a condescending manner that this doctor "doesn't do revision surgery" and that I would have to wait 10 years for a revision. The way this was communicated felt disrespectful, and I was left feeling as though my concerns and the appearance of my eyes were being mocked rather than taken seriously. Whether or not the doctor accepts revision cases is entirely their choice, but every patient deserves to be treated with kindness, empathy, and respect--especially someone already dealing with the emotional and physical effects of a difficult surgical outcome. Based on the way I was treated by the office staff, I would not recommend this practice. Compassion and professionalism should begin with the very first phone call.

I had my 3rd appointment today and am so impressed with them. This place runs so efficiently, the facility is bright and clean. Everyone is smiling and help each other. I feel a lot of positive vibes and already feel a difference in my shoulder. Ive been to a different pt group and felt ignored, sat waiting around for the therapist, who was managing a few different people to return with the next set of instructions. The other facility was dated, the machines quite old , the carpet....gross. There is no comparison. Phynix is top notch. I wish they were on my radar the last 2 times I needed physical therapy. Ive not included photos as there are always patients and i feel that would be an infringement on their privacy however Phynix has a website so you can check in out there.
