Initially they offered comparable pricing for plowing our driveway, however they required that we pay for a contract up front. This guaranteed a certain number of visits per winter with no refund if they did fewer. The first few years they were OK and I appreciated their level of communication and their promptness. However there were several times when the work was definitely lacking - very minimal effort made to plow our driveway, leaving a packed down layer of snow that quickly iced over and became worse than had it never been plowed. When this happened it required hours of shoveling on our part to make it navigable. Emails to the company politely requesting more thorough service went unanswered. They also tend to "charge" double when there's a major snow, meaning you use up two of your allotted plow visits for one snow. This year, the price went up appreciably from around $250 prepaid to over $450 prepaid for the same number of visits. As of mid-January we've had one snow event that triggered service. They did a middling job of plowing the driveway. Snow and ice still remained in strips and a mound of snow and dirt was left in the street right in front of the drive. They also did not clear the front steps and walk as they have in the past. This was not a major snow event and I am concerned what kind of job will be done if/when we have more than a few inches of snow. For the amount we pre-pay regardless of whether they come, I'd definitely expect better. I'm waiting to see what the proposed price is next year, but also plan to start shopping around for better service. To be clear, I wouldn't object to the price if they did a thorough and consistent job that never required "rework", but that's not the case.

Like…read moremost of the other reviewers, I have been with EcoLawn since they took over Superior Lawn Care several years ago. Superior was great, and Moe was great to work with. The first year after the transition to EcoLawn was OK, but things went downhill after that. At first, it was small things, like the mowers coming on different days every week, not our "assigned" day. This made it hard for me to prepare and make sure things were off the lawn so they could access the full yard. Then they started missing spots, which was annoying. More recently, they have been no showing for multiple weeks at a time. This summer has been the worst, which prompted me to write this review. Not only has the price gone up significantly, but we've only received 2 mowings in the past 2 MONTHS, despite being signed up for weekly mowing. I've emailed the company multiple times. At first they gave vague responses, blaming it on the weather, or a "glitch" in their system that caused them to miss us. But there is no way rain or bad weather can explain this - many of our neighbors use other companies for mowing and they have had no issues getting mowed on time. And now they have stopped responding entirely. Crickets. I have no idea when they will be back to mow. Will definitely be switching to another company next season.

DLC responded quickly with an estimate, and after asking friends about it I was told it was a good deal. So I responded that I would like to use their service and an email was sent with a link to pay, which made it a breeze, and set up a weekly appointment during this rainy month of May. They came the same day I paid, and did a terrific job considering what I'd tried to do (it was bad) and the lawn looks great. I will put up pictures when the lawn looks a little better, because I'd tried to use an electric mower that wouldn't adjust properly so some spots are awful. Anyway, great job, guys!
