My husband and I joked that we wished we could hire Sea Glass to manage the house we actually live in. They did a much better job maintaining the property and keeping things running smoothly than we ever could have! And their fee is so reasonable. I have owned a triplex in Brunswick for the last six months, and Kim and Diane have already helped me renovate two of the three apartments and find wonderful tenants. Kim and Diane take real pride in the apartments they manage, and it shows. They have a wide network of contractors and service people to call in when there's a problem, and they find creative solutions to all the little challenges that come up when managing an older building. Kim and Diane are also wonderful with tenants. I have been in their office when clients have come in to pay the rent, and the warmth and mutual respect was palpable. I have been especially impressed by the work they've done to support tenants in my building who have to move out due to renovations. Kim and Diane have gone well beyond the scope of their job descriptions to support tenants in finding new homes. The original lease we had stated the carpets were in bad condition when we moved in, yet this new manager refused to return our security deposit. I purposely withheld last month's rent as I suspected this would be an issue, despite the property management company's owner Matt Freedman insisting they were a professional company and would not hold our deposit for things already listed as bad when when moved in. This left a balance due to us of $250. They also entered our apartment illegally, without any notice, while we were in the process of moving. They left a combination key lock on our door and locked the apartment we had purposely left open for my daughter to get her things. This impeded our move and we got no acknowledgement from BlackAcre Property Management or the building owner, not even an apology. When inquiring about this money owed to us, it took multiple emails and phone calls to even get a reply, which by itself is very unprofessional. The reply I finally got was that, per the owner, I would not be receiving my deposit back due to stains on the carpets making them unusable. The same carpet that was listed as bad on our original lease. They are holding us accountable for previous damages we did not do. The carpets were already in unusable condition when we moved in on a temporary, emergency basis. I am currently in the process of taking alternative routes to get my deposit back. In the meantime, tenants beware of this agency. They are unprofessional and greedy! I am glad I withheld December's rent or they would have surely kept the whole thing!

This has put me and my ex husband in a very precarious position since now that we are divorced neither of us can move on with our lives until this house is on the market and sold. If he would actually answer or return my calls I would be much more forgiving. but the last message I left yesterday was "Call me back or I'm going to Yelp with a bad review" Alas, still no call. Imagine our surprise when their gorgeous website suddenly popped up! The apartments feature 9 foot ceilings with numerous 8 foot, fully insulated windows with ever changing views of the trees and sky. The floorplan and styling are both top notch, and our apartment is filled with thoughtful design details such as soft close cabinets, drawers, tons of lighting, stylish fixtures and more. Our building is sustainable and efficient, featuring electric appliances, including a ventless washer and dryer and my magical, magnificent induction range (in some units, some have high quality electric resistance ranges). We pay one fee monthly for all utilities and there is an option to choose heated, underground parking! Yes, please. The list of amenities includes a sauna, warp around porch, balconies, well appointed gym, a Sky Lounge and Sky Deck, a small library and game room, and (WOOT) an induction-centered teaching kitchen in which my husband and I hosted a "Soup and Crostini" Snack Session (so fun)! The best part of the Sandpiper is the people, both the residents and Sandpiper Team. When residents meet up, we often discuss how fortunate we are to be here.
