There were solid lines throughout my hair where my roots were still blonde (hair is colored dark brown). I'm disappointed my stylist didn't notice as she was drying or curling my hair afterwards. Or maybe she DID notice but thought I wouldn't notice so she didn't mention anything. I had to point it out and ask for a manager to make sure it was redone correctly. I ended up in the salon for 5 hours for a root touch up and a 45 min facial. I really liked my stylist at first until she did the second application, which during that time, she was super rushed, got hair color all over my phone and arm, and was just overall unhappy and messy since she had to repeat it. The facial was okay, but not good enough to make up for the hair experience. I won't be back. The photo below was taken AFTER my color was done, hair was dried and curled. It looked like this throughout my head. Edit to add: a different stylist rinsed out the second color and I noticed at the shampoo bowl that she seemed to be in a huge hurry and was pretty sloppy. She got water all over my back and face, which honestly was the least of my problems. It just didn't feel like the rinsed my hair thoroughly. Fast forward to that night when I took out the hair clip I had wearing since I left the salon and there was hair color ALL OVER my beige clip. Hair color got all over my pillowcase and when I showered to rinse it, SOOO much color came out. I took a white washcloth and rubbed it all throughout my hair and there was so much color left. She literally only rinsed around my hairline, the top, and the ends. Completely left the crown of my head untouched with water and shampoo. After I showered, I towel dried it thoroughly with a white towel and there was no color whatsoever. I'm so mad at the sloppy work done to me. I have to buy a new sheet set now for my bed, a new towel, and a new clip. Small things, but could have easily been avoided if they were paying attention. This place sucks.

I'll go a long distance to get good quality services, but I won't be getting my hair done here again. I like Aveda products and scalp massages during shampooing. Why I won't come back for my cut/colors though is the lack of customer service I received on the salon side of things. After returning 3-4 times and being happy with the stylist I had found a good rapport with, I called to ask if I could move my upcoming appointment sooner. I learned that she had left the salon and moved away. Fine, people move, but I asked "if I showed up for my appointment in 2 weeks would anyone have warned me?" And no one had a good answer. They accommodated me then and I tried a new stylist, and she realized the first one hadn't been writing the various color shades I'd been trying during the year. She did a great job and blended my highlights naturally. Great. New stylist that I'll be happy with. Right? Wrong! Remember how I said I come to see Erica weekly? Well this stylist sees me every time and when I say hi, she just stares blankly as if she hasn't ever seen me before. I tried 3 times to get a bang trim with her, and it could never be worked in. I'm not sure, but I'm betting it would not have been complimentary. All other salons I've gone to over the years say "come on in whenever you need a bang trim and they're free; and if I'm not here, any of the stylists can do it for you". There seems to be way too many hair stylists and there seems to be high stylist turnover. I got lucky at another salon in town, thankfully. With better prices too. I'll drive to see Erica - but I'll get my hair done elsewhere.

I had Rebecca the first…read moretime, she didn't ask me what I wanted I had scheduled a diva cut but didn't know if I wanted that and I told her that. She cut WAY too much off (about 6 inches), it was not good, I just wanted a trim.Very not youthful look when that's what I was tryin to go for. When she started the diva curl cut I realized quickly it was not what I wanted so I started asking her questions about different techniques and what other stylists had done in the past for my hair that had worked. She didn't really understand what I was trying to say and basically said that she didn't do that. We just moved here from another state. My daughter got Kathy and wasn't happy with her cut, so we went back. Kathy did the cut that she wanted, until we discovered that the bangs were way to short once she washed the curls out and it is very uneven, she and I have both had to trim parts to fix our haircuts. Before we realized my daughters hair was uneven I went back and saw Kathy. I asked for a long "v" shaped shag cut, with what hair I had left that was down to the small of my back, now at mid back length. Kathy gave me more of a classic shag and now my hair is shoulder length with bangs that are about 4 inches shorter than I wanted. I debated on whether or not to do this review. I have cried a few times, I told them my fears of getting my hair chopped off. When I saw that Kathy & Rebecca in both instances were not listening to me at all because they cut WAY too much off I just felt sick and said, well I guess I can just grow out my color in order to change it from black to natural because I have been coloring my hair for years. It took me 5 years to get my hair to my waist because of other stylists that didn't listen or were incompetent. I had told the ladies on the phone this before I came in. My anxiety was warranted and now my daughter and I are stuck with haircuts we both do not like and spent about $200. Still upset. Oh and also Kathy cut my hair uneven and very thick in sections and I was told that she didn't thin out hair. Rebecca also told me that she couldn't cut my hair a certain way after I showed her a photo of what I wanted. I know this is long winded but we are not returning and we would not recommend this salon. Both ladies we feel did not listen, didn't care and do not stay up to date on new techniques. Very very disappointed, it felt like they didn't know what they were doing honestly. I was reassured several times via phone calls that they all know what they are doing and have years and years of experience, it didn't show because of the lack of communication and not caring on their part. Ask more questions and listen!!

There's a bar area where you can drink a cup of coffee (thank you Lord) while you get foiled, with magazines and a TV, and it's open and warm into the rest of the salon. Then the decor is great too, modern but colorful and interesting. Great for getting those creative juices flowing during your biannual hair-must-change-drastically crisis! Which brings me to the true gem of this place. Erica. She is actually an artist with hair and she'll be straight up with you about what ideas are good ideas and what ideas are not so good. I've pulled out pictures of the general idea I've had, and she's talked through with me what we can do and what to expect - and if she can't do an excellent job with it, she won't. Full stop. I've shown for a 2h appointment before with an idea that would take 2 at a rush and 3 to be perfect, and she actually had me reschedule (just did a quick cut) so she could give it the time and attention it would need. The colors look GREAT. I stay, if obviously not "natural," at least within the range of natural for the purposes of professionalism at my job, and she manages to bring out all the highs and lows and depths I never knew my relatively thin hair could achieve!!
