I was a client of Torries for 10 years. She was great until the last 2 years when she became…read morerushed, distracted and frequently screwed up my hair! I had always loved my hair appointments but I started to dread them and became filled with anxiety wondering if my hair would be too short, uneven or if the color is messed up! I tried talking to her about this 6 mos before leaving and she blamed it on the fact that she has to cut my time down bc she gives me a discount! She also said I needed to come every 4 weeks to make up for that. Then how is that a discount!? So I started coming every 4 weeks but nothing changed, in fact it got worse! The last time I was there she was all stressed out about the covid regulations and yelled at me 2x during my appt! I had no problem with the regulations, I'm a nurse and have bn dealing with them for 3 months already! I emailed her letting her know why I wouldnt be returning and she said, "unfortunately this cant be fixed". No apologies, no affect on her losing a client of 10 years! It is disheartening when someone you have been going to for 10 yrs decides you are not worth their time, even though you are paying for their time!

My main complaint is the terrible pedicures I've gotten there- one most recently done by a person who normally cuts hair. My nails were filed unevenly (even after I told her she was filing them unevenly as she worked, and that is something I would never normally complain about but it was so obvious) and the polish was bumpy because it was overworked or maybe old. She left me sitting by myself for long periods of time during the pedicure- while she went off, nowhere to be seen. This added unnecessary time to the appointment. I was giving the place another try but will never go back. I do not like throwing my money away on substandard services.
