My daughter got her hair cut yesterday. Overall was happy with it, but the sides werent blended well. She went back today and told a different old lady that she just wanted the sides blended. That lady barely blended sides, but proceded to cutoff the back of the hair that my daughter did not want touched. My daughter was visibly very upset. Good luck if you go to Derby Great Clips and have either old lady cut your hair. They will jack it up. We will never go there again. read more

I genuinely believe the woman who cut my hair was high. That's the only way I could explain how I ended up with such a bad haircut. The last thing I said before she started cutting my hair was that I didnt want any length taken off the front, land wouldn't you know the very first thing she does is cut straight across my bangs taking off half of what I had grown out. The worst part of the haircut was the sideburns though, when I got home and looked in the mirror I saw that one had been shaved to the top of my ear and the other wasn't touched at all, I looked lopsided. she disregarded everything I asked her to do and left me with the worst haircut I've ever had, not going back. read more

Tara (the woman who cut my hair) first asked if i had a mohawk after looking at my notes from last visit. i said "yeah it was more of a faux hawk" and she somehow managed to give me the wrong haircut. on top of giving me the wrong haircut, this woman doesn't know how to line up a pair of side burns and as she got towards the side of my head she hit and flipped one of my piercings and after i flinched she didn't even apologize or anything. idk who pissed in her cereal this morning but oh my god she has terrible customer service skills and when you're working with people all day everyday you should know to at least put on a fake smile and act nice. if i could i'd take away her cosmetology license. read more

Used to go here for a couple of weeks due to the prices being lower than usual barbershops. However I went ahead and moved on to another barbershop because no one was able to do a simple fade on the sides. When asking for a fade-cut I was always left with reluctant "okay's" or even as far as my respective barber asking their co-worker for help on how to do a fade. I also ask for a simple finger-length trim on top every time, and come home to find out how uneven it is on the top, leaving my wife to finish cutting and evening it out. Sometimes after 2 or 3 times pointing out uneven lines or obvious cut-lines they made on my head I just accept the haircut and try to fix it on my own. At this point I am just nit-picking, BUT I shouldn't have to be their haircut guinea-pig on how to do a simple fade. Really great people and customer service-Unfortunately bad haircut experiences. read more

This place saved me from a real bad updo, and I mean a bad updo. When you come home and your boyfriend says, "Baby, I thought you were going to get your hair done." Ahhh yeah, something is wrong. I had a rat's nest granny bun that was awful. I called Great Clips and they saw me right away. I asked for a flat iron and Aubrey rocked it! They offer a military discount and the flat iron was only $15. I will be back! read more

I asked for a bang trim. Rather than cutting at the length I asked, she cut them and inch higher and not even at all. Very unimpressed. Very upset. read more

My husband and son have received reliably wonderful cuts. I on the other hand did not. I tried to save some money. The back of my head looks like a mans cut. The side has uneven scissor marks. The only thing that wasn't botched was how my hair curved around my face. The ladies are wonderful, they tried really hard to make me happy. I hate writing this review but, if someone else had shared their experience I wouldn't be sitting here with the back of my head shaved and bangs to my chin. read more
