What a great location! After a long morning of soccer practice for my son, we decided to stop into this location after several recommendations from the other soccer dads. The location was easy to find and the moment we walked in, we were greeted with great customer service and friendly smiles. The ambiance is welcoming, clean, and offers ample space. My son went first and I explained his haircut style and wow what an amazing job they did! As my son was getting his haircut, he looked very confortable in the comfy chairs. As I waited to be next, I admired the friendly service and overall clean stations. I sat down and explained my haircut style which came out more than perfect. I am pretty picky with my hairstyle but when they finished I was very happy, they nailed it!!! From beginning to end my son and I were very happy and satisfied with this location. I was so excited to find this business here on Yelp and give it a 5-star review only to find it was not listed! (Gasp!) So I added it. I have been struggling to find a competent hairstylist since I moved to south Florida over a year ago. A friend recommended I go see Kameko at Great Clips. Normally I would not consider going to a chain such as Great Clips, but this particular friend happens to be extremely picky about her hair and she gave me a coupon so I decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did! Kameko is A-mazing. I briefly described the style I wanted and showed her a couple of photos and viola! PERFECT! Not only did she do an amazing job on my cut and blow out, she is super friendly and very personable without being nosey or invasive. Not much more you can ask for in a hair stylist. Even my bf said it was the best he's seen my hair look since he's known me. So glad I've found a permanent stylist. I highly recommend Kameko and this location of Great Clips. If you're still unsure, do what I did and use the $7.99 coupon on the back of your Winn-Dixie receipt. Also, when you get your receipt from Great Clips AFTER getting your haircut, there is a $2 off coupon at the bottom of the receipt that never expires. read more

I used to get my haircut here all the time by a stylist named Christy. She did fabulous haircuts but she moved on to teaching. I had several subsequently that were "OK"as I tried the other stylists. Then I tried the manager whose name is Rick. He cut an excessive amount off of my hair. He said he was only going to cut half an inch. It was closer to 6 inches. And devastating for me. I called corporate and spoke to the owner Justin who was very professional and empathetic. He Guaranteed all haircuts and offered to have it re cut by someone else. When I went back in to discuss repairing it, the manager Rick said he was "offended" that I said he cut off 6 inches. He was not apologetic or concerned but rather indignant ,argumentative and unprofessional . If he owned the store they would be out of business in short order with the attitude and hostile looks he was projecting . He lacked the ability for problem solving unemotionally while keeping the corporate image and customer satisfaction at the Forefront. He took the complaint personally and Expressed no accountability for a bad haircut. He initially said he would give me my money back and have someone recut it. Then he got defensive and just gave me my money back and basically acted like he didn't want me to come back in there. I called the owner again and said I have to get it cut somewhere to fix it. I requested having a woman named Diane who had cut it once before, do it again. Again Justin was very understanding and accommodating and comped a second repair haircut for me. Diane did a very good job and salvaged the cut. I've had more good experiences here than bad. And would give Justin five stars for his business Acumen and professionalism and Diane five stars for saving my haircut. I would offer that any stylist who disagrees with a customer should remain courteous and let someone else handle transaction to salvage the business relationship. As well it is better to show some humility rather than arrogance when handling consumer concerns. One employee with a bad attitude or behavior can negatively impact the reputation of an entire Corporation. read more

I had been going to the same stylist for years, until he recently began giving me less than perfect hair cuts . I live on the east side of Fort Lauderdale , but drove to this great clips location because my fiancé has always gone to Kameko there and raves about her and how she does all our guy friends hair . Not only was she super fast, my hair actually even looks great without product (which is a first for me). Just went back again, and utilized the online check in feature so I didn't even have to wait ! Great customer service, and high end salon quality haircut at a fraction of the cost . I've been here before, and got a BEAUTIFUL bob by the manager (don't remember her name) so I decided to go again, hoping she was there- but she wasn't, they told me she's pregnant and won't be back for a little while. I ended up getting my hair cut anyway and it was the worst idea I've ever made. The guy who cut my hair was a white male, kind of feminine and greeted me nicely. I did feel like he felt uncomfortable and when he started cutting my hair I knew why... he SUCKED. I had a slanted hairstyle- kind of asymmetrical and all I asked was for him to even it out so that both sides were even. He starts cutting my hair like a 4 year old, grabbing it with his fingers and chopping... he didn't measure it to make sure it would be even with the other side, he just looked at it and kept snipping my hair off!! He got to the longer side and cut it SO short I was on the verge of tears. I said please stop- you cut my hair way too short. Him and this older lady kept telling me my hair was that short to begin with.. UMMMMM NO. Never ever coming here again!! Don't do it unless you know who's cutting your hair. read more

I was in desperate need for a haircut since I was leaving out town tomorrow. My regular hairstylist was booked, so I looked for something close to home. Reviews looked good. Jeanne cut and styled my hair. I have short hair so I find it's difficult to find someone who can cut short hair and it look great. I was nervous, super nervous because of my past experiences and I had vowed never to go anyone but my own hairstylist because it was always a mess. I was pleasantly surprised! I now have a backup or even my go to hairstylist right in Cooper City! She listened to what I wanted and gave me something more. She was very nice and we're actually from the same DC area. :) She's been in the business full time since 1995. It shows in her cut and clipper skills. I'll definitely will be returning to Jeanne. Not only were we able to get hair cuts for both of my girls but when I asked them if they would be willing to donate something for our local cheer/football teams they were more than willing. I took my 2 daughters to this place. One of the stylist that cut my younger daughter's hair did a good job. The 2nd stylist that cut my older daughter's hair cut it way to short, about 3 inches than what I wanted. I turned my head to check on my younger daughter and when I looked at my older daughter's hair, she chopped her hair almost to her ear! When it was all said and done, I told the stylist that she cut my daughter's hair too short and she said, "well that's what your daughter wanted." I said to her, "I'm her mother, I asked it for her at her collar line, this is way too short, next time, listen to the parent and not what the minor wants!" If you want a better hair cut for your kids, spend the extra $5-10 and go to a real salon. I hate Great Clips and will never go back again as this isn't the first time I've had an issue with one of their locations. read more

Sharing an experience that happened last weekend only because it shows how some businesses are downright greedy, fake and completely insensitive when it comes to true customer service. I posted a poor review on their Facebook page based on our experience last Saturday when we walked in. I gave them 1 star and posted the following: "I went to your Cooper City, Florida location in the Walmart shopping center because my 12 year old daughter wanted to get a pixie cut. We are Latinas so the stylist whose turn it was to take care of her took one look at her hair and rather loudly kept repeating that she had "kinky" hair and if she cut her hair like my daughter wanted she'd end up looking like "a q-tip". We were mortified. For one, it shows lack of experience with multicultural textures given that curl and frizz don't mean kinky. Second, her lack of tact and professionalism as well as her loudness were super embarrassing. My daughter cried all the way home. I suggest you train your stylists in all types of hair types and textures as well as tact and professionalism in order to negotiate a haircut." A day later the owner of the salon called me to apologize. He told me that what had happened to my daughter was unacceptable and that they would certainly address the issue so this never happens again, along with a free cut/style etc. I told him that I appreciated the call. Yesterday I get another call from this man asking me to please take down my Facebook review since they had talked to the stylist and it wasn't "racist" or anything like that. (Ugh!!!!!!!!!) I wasn't expecting that so I merely said thanks for calling. I did not take down the review because this had been our experience and this guy was trying to erase that, like it never happened. Maybe he's being pressured by his boss so I only commented on my post and said the manager had reached out to me. I drove to that salon specifically because it had good reviews. I wonder how many bad ones have been taken down. Every day I'm losing more faith in people that hold middle management and high management/leadership roles. Stay away from this location in Cooper City . I have never heard of a hair salon turning you away due to one employee stating that she has bad wrist and can't do blowdrys , and the other employee on staff does not do blowouts ever . So that means if you want and cut and blow dry your out of luck cause no one on staff was there to do both . So unprofessional . If your staff is to old to work or has bad wrist . Cooper City FL Walmart location. My wife likes a stylist here because she knows how to cut her style. Today the stylist said the owner told them they couldn't spend more than 15 minutes per cut. According to Google, the business was open until 9pm, so I rushed to get there when I got out of work at 8. When I arrived, the doors were locked; an employee noticed me and opened the door. I explained I thought they were open later, and after briefly conferring with his coworker, he said, "come on in. We'd be happy to accommodate you." The service remained superb, and my stylist, Ray, inspired such confidence with his skills and experience. I haven't had a nicer haircut--that is, where the stylist is thoughtful and realistic about my hair type and what it will (or won't!) do--in many years. I guess that means I'll be a Great Clips costumer for many years to come (although I don't plan on showing up after business hours anymore )....Thank, Great Clips. Worst customer service ever. I walk into the their store and don't see any customers waiting. I asked for specific stylist and he mentioned the first available will be the best option. I politely declined as other stylists are mediocre at best. Person who greeted me mentions there are few online checkins who haven't showed up and will be first to go. He did mention if someone shows up there may be a bit of a wait, which I said was ok. One of the customer from online check in shows up and they ask me if it is ok for them to go ahead of me. As the person explained this, I was ok. At this time, the stylist comes over and says pick another one as she is busy. Later there are few more people show up and they ask for the same stylist. The person who greeted me, is trying to teach how online check in works, in essence trying to bump me off the list. The guy think the customers are dump and need a class to learn online check in. Stop wasting people's time and tell them they cannot accommodate as they are busy. Definitely don't need a dump cashier to educate how online check in works. If you hire better stylists you may not run into these issues. read more

5 stars - Woohoo! As good as it gets! Since moving here in April, this is the 3rd different hair salon I have been to, and thankfully this Great Clips location is the one I have been searching for! Cassie did a fabulous job cutting my short hair, which I wanted the back layered to get rid of the heavy weight line. Again, SUPER job! She listened to what I was saying, and she made sure that she understood what I wanted, and made sure that I understood what she was going to do. We were on the same page. I am SO glad that I decided to try Great Clips, and I commented to Cassie, that other hair salons are over rated. I got the perfect cut I wanted and for a very affordable $14.00 plus a generous tip. And as another reviewer commented, there is a $2.00 discount on the bottom of your receipt, which Cassie pointed out, to use for future cuts. I will also have to look for the discount price of $7.99 on the Winn Dixie receipts. Regardless of a coupon discount, you will be very pleased with this Great Clips location. read more

Great Clips is a good place to get a haircut. What I did not like about these previous experiences is that the employees fail to complete the hairstyle I requested, being simple. Please implement the hairstyle that customers request after the haircut and before the next visit. read more
