First time stopping at this location and I just happened to stumble upon it on my way to a…read moredifferent store. Quite a lot of LARGE furniture items. Not as many smaller furniture pieces and very limited selection of homewares/decor compared to some of the other locations that I have been to. Staff were all very friendly. Shop was fairly well organized and easy enough to navigate. I have been shopping at Habitat ReStore (other locations) for many years now and I must say I was quite surprised by how expensive things were at this location. Prices are of course less than if you were to buy brand new but they were much more expensive than what I've seen at other locations. That said, it can't hurt to stop in and take a look for yourself (especially if you have a flexible budget to work with!).

All of the workers are very laidback and kind - I love their monthly specials and that they serve their in house items in mugs and glasses. Huge applause for their grilled muffins, chai lattes, and raspberry chocolate crepes. LOVE the mission behind this place also, if you're in the neighborhood and you're spending the money anyways, why not do it somewhere with a purpose? 5 stars, no notes.

According to their web site, Restore 61 is a charity helping people in the Portsmouth area…read more They're a 501c3 non profit trying to change their name to Restore 61 from the current name of Acorn Foundation. Their web site says that they are a faith based organization and the new name has some biblical reference. I am giving them 3 stars because I don't know enough to have an opinion. And when I don't have an opinion, I don't make donations. But I'm happy to get them listed on Yelp. They were holding an art exhibit in the basement at 40 Pleasant St. and the works of many well respected local artists and photographers were for sale. The exhibit is only there on June 4 and 5, but the charity claims to have been around since 2003. Check them out, do your research, and see what you think. And help them out if you think they deserve your support.

The night staff is very argumentative when asked to do something like give a covid test or check on someone snoring that is not using their sleep breathing machine. Last but not least, the covid tests they are using expired on 12/22/2022. Whats up with that. Basically we are treated like we are in jail, we don't have a voice because they won't listen to you. They just cut us off and get irritated.

Let me add however that they do keep it clean and nest. Do I need to add that COVID policies differ from state to state and here masks are not worn by most. We like to stand and move around for music so we loved it. Some who needed seats were less than ecstatic as their views were blocked, but that is just an FYI. Sometimes it is the staff and attitude that sets things part, and this is true for this venue. The folks are friendly, accommodating and have the right attitude. I confess. I did something I was not supposed to do. I was a skofflaw, even if by accident. AND I got "caught". My bad. They handled it all with humor and grace and were accommodating. We were laughing about it at the end, and it could easily have gotten ugly elsewhere. Well done!
