Everyone was very friendly, patient, and professional. My fiancé was having a lot of trouble clearing his mask and needed some extra assistance. They did not hesitate to provide one on one time with him and were always very encouraging. AMBC is a private club for members and their guest. Lucky for me, I get to be a guest. Some of the…read morelocals refer to AMBC as the, "redneck yacht club". I'd say they are just good, down to earth people who know how to have a good time on the river. The clubhouse of AMBC can best be described as a, dive bar. Their decor is simple. It's so simple, you'd think a minimalist was the decorator. However, there are plenty of tables & chairs inside to accommodate members and guests. If you're the outdoors type, you can relax at a picnic table on the covered patio. One of the perks of being a private club is the pricing of drinks and food. Those of us who were guest, wished our favorite watering holes offered the same deals. I was impressed that their rail liquor was what most bars have as a name brand. There's no servers, so if you want food, you order with the bartender. When the food is ready, your name will be called out over the PA and you go to the kitchen window to retrieve it yourself. A little self serve, adds to the fun. When another guest in our group picked-up his food order, he was amazed at the quantity of food. He kept repeating, "this is $15 of food". Someone finally asked him, is that good or bad? He laughed and said, good and explained he ordered more because he thought the portion would be small based on the price. The food is your basic bar food, but I'd say it's done better. My Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings were crispy and flavorful. I also had a basket of Fries. The fries were not house made, but that's okay with me. They were crinkle-cut, which is perfect for the dive bar atmosphere. Or as my friend calls them, "bowling alley fries". Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food and didn't mind me taking pictures. If you've got a boat up near Alton or Grafton, you may want to check this club out. It just may make your rollin on the river more fun. I'm just thankful that I'm friends with a member. I'll be back? - Yes, it's always a great time. When - July 1, 2018 Why - Refreshments after a day on the river

It is a nice nature area nestled off Dalbow Road and near Highway 79. Here you have water access for your boats and jet skis. There are some spots available for picnicking and such too. I'd advise to arrive early if you intend on parking near the water access area since it has limited spacing for vehicles. The water that you will be getting in is a tributary off of the Mississippi River. Lots of people come down here to go fishing since they've got such an abundance of different fish such as bass, crappie, and catfish. Enjoy your visit!

I could see renting a court for a Wallyball night- during the hot summer or cold winter weekend nights. There are old couches and a nice big flat panel available in a upstairs lounge area. Rates from 7-10 PM on Friday & Saturdays Wallyball $80 /court Racquetball $45 /court Tennis $65 /court Large parties can rent the place 6 PM to midnight for $600 with more charges for over 150 people. This includes all court times & 125 beers... Not sure about the specifics or cost of extra beers. Now the bad- the area of this place is huge & I believe the bills to heat/cool must be outrages. Friday & Saturday after 5 PM are slow times & they allow the public to rent the court without joining or paying the $5/person guest fee. Membership is individual $20/ month or a family $25. Then comes court cost from $16.50-30/hour depending on type & time. There is a discount for those under 20 & over 60 that can take non-reserved spots. Plan to drink from the water fountain because a small bottle of Gatorade was $2.65. Racquetball was an obsession back in high school, college into my 20s. I had to take many breaks in my 2 hours of court time. I am out of shape & want to play more to get back in shape. However, between memberships, court fees & planning on moving- this maybe just a place I just visit with a friend that is a member.

In the description of the tour it said the 4 zip lines, atvs, and 2 suspension bridges. The att description is a little misleading. The ATVs were to get you from the chair lifts to the first zip line and to take you back to the chair lifts after the last zip line. The tour guides did a great job of telling you about the zip lines. They also allowed you time to take photos of the scenery which was absolutely amazing. We there there during the fall as the leaves were changing. Zac and Chuck our tour guides were a lot of fun and the zip lines where great. But please note they want you there 30 mins early however when taking the chair lift up to the zip lining office takes about 30 mins. So make sure you give yourself extra time. We got there about 40 mins early and made it right at our start time. They did give us a call to see if we were still on our way, we let them know we were still in the stair lift. Definitely recommend this zip line.
