After a day, the AC wasn't working again and back to the shop it went. After a week without a car we're told the car is ready for pickup, but having the bill prepared we took the car, and waited for the bill. Soon after we received the bill of over $900 with almost no consideration of the previous "fix" for $300. The business hadn't even felt the need to contact my grandparents before preforming an expensive service. After receiving the bill I did some research on the parts and job. I found out they up-charged them on each part by $100 and up-charged the service by more than $200. Please do not trust these crooks.

EFX Tuning.....DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. They take…read moreyour money. And just keep charging for their lack of knowledge.  Im a highly disappointed customer. I took my 2009 Pontiac G8 Gt to EFX for them to install a motor, and rear differential. And for them to perform a custom tune. The car was completed.  I was told to come pick up my vehicle.  From day one. Its been nothing but issues.  When I 1st picked up the car. Butch (the arrogant ignorant shop owner) and Dave.  Informed me I need to let my vehicle warm up atleast 10min before driving. That seemed kind of weird. But I listened. The reason they said to do this was so that the car can warm up.  Leaving the parking lot. The car stalled. And stalled again, on  the Talcony Palmyra Bridge. On my way home. I got the car home and left it parked for about a week. When i went to start it up. It wouldn't stay started. I had to rev the engine. Numerous amounts of times to get the engine to stay on. In the mean time. I contacted another tuner and explained the issues. He informed me it was a easy fix. But i should have EFX Tuning handle it. Since they were last to tune the car. So i did just that. I had the car towed back to EFX Tuning.  They supposedly went back over their custom tune. And couldn't find any issues with their tune. And they say it must be my transmission or convertor.  (My convertor is brand new and  matched to my  engine combo)....  I went back and fourth with EFX tuning as well the Texas Speed (where i bought the convertor). Texas speed informed that its the tuner. Not the transmission or convertor.  I go back and Try to tell Butch. . Butch decides he doesnt want to be professional this day. Butch decides to yell and tell and tell me to come get my car. Because he doesnt feel like going through this. I thought to myself this isnt professional at all.  So i get to EFX  on a Friday, and bam. They hit me in the head again. More money, for more Tuning. TUNING that didnt do a thing.  So all together its over $700 on a "custom tune". That didn't do a thing. So, Dave insist that the issue is either the  transmission or convertor.  He also says,  in his words. "Let me know what you find out".  So the next day. SATURDAY.  i take the car to another tuner. He spends about 3hrs on the car. And all issues resolved.  Now comes monday. I call EFX Tuning, several times. I get no  answer.  I send emails. No response. So at this point i feel like I've been robbed and disrespected.    All i can say is. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO EFX Tuning for any custom tuning. And for  sure,  watch out for Butch. Seems to be under cover racist. If you ask me. And im not saying this to bad mouth everything about EFX.  The techs are great people. Just their tuner isn't the best. And the shop manager. Has no patience unless you have money in hand. Then his whole demeanor is different..

The car is fantastic, very clean, fairly priced, and Jose was very attentive and patient throughout the whole process as we flipped flopped between financing with Autotec or using our own banks. We ended up using their financing and got a decent rate for the times we're in. I definitely recommend checking out the selection of vehicles here before making a final decision elsewhere.
