We went into Smoke 'Em Out Window Tinting to see about getting those two windows tinted in the same shade as the back ones so that all the side windows would look the same. It was really important to us that the front windows and the rear windows matched perfectly. We talked to John Phegley, Smoke 'Em Out's owner, and discussed our options. He was upfront and honest about the fact that he could get things pretty close, but because of the particular shading that Toyota uses on it's 4Runners, he'd be unable to get things to match perfectly. He could have easily just done what so many other places would have done and installed the tint he had and hope for the best, that we'd be satisfied with it, but he didn't. He turned us away. He wanted us to be happy and he knew, that given our needs, that he couldn't do what we wanted him to do. My wife and I came away deeply impressed by Mr. Phegley's honesty and integrity. He's an old school perfectionist who will not settle for a substandard job. He'll either do it perfectly, or he won't do it at all. This is a refreshing attitude in this day and age. Smoke "Em Out Window Tinting is a small local business run by an honest, ethical, hardworking guy. We recommend him for all your auto tinting needs. UPDATE: 04/10/17 We're starting to see some blemishes/flaws in a couple of different places on the side windows. We also discovered some scratches on the plastic trim by the rear window. This company removes the windows to tint them so that you don't see the line where the tint stops and this area was apparently damaged during the installation process.

When he finished at 7 PM it was dark and I wasn't able to see the work that he had done. Upon closer look the next day he had forgotten to even do the roof of the vehicle. But most amazingly he removed the radar detector from the vehicle and took it with him. He said that he was going to meet me in a couple days and return it and finish the work on the car. Which I happily pulled the trigger on as I was told that they are one of the best detailers locally. I then get a call the same day saying I needed a buff and cut because the paint is super rough. They quoted me $900 to do the whole job. Which I skeptically said to myself "I can get this done at a detailing shop out of town for 1/3 of the price, but they are professionals and I've heard great things about them." So I again, pulled the trigger. It took them 3 days to finish (02/14/20) and in my excitement to drive it, I quickly looked it over and It looked fine. (Yes I took it home without carefully inspecting the paint because I trusted their work) I will never make that mistake again. Upon further inspection, my body shop guy sees a burn mark in my paint, as well as wax compound all in my door jams and other places. I take it to them and show them the burn and she tells me to my face that she would have never done this. That they inspect every car before it leaves. I politely responded "well I didn't do it" so she took me in and showed me what she used and told me it was near impossible that she couldn't have done it. Well it's there. She told me to go through her insurance and she just shrugged her shoulders. She basically said that I did this myself parking it in a garage over the weekend sitting dormant. So this is for anyone reading this post. If you're thinking of going here. Look at your paint before you leave first. With a light. I will not be returning here. For $900 I could have gone out of town and gotten a much more thorough job done. I was told I was going to be taken care of and instead I was slapped in the face.

For $18, it's a hard sell however, my vehicle is like 99% clean. Probably to all bystanders it's 100% but I'm very particular and look up and down at everything. I've been here before and I will return. I think it's the best value wash you're going to get in PA without having someone hand detail it. Just be prepared to further dry it off when you leave. 9/10 at 4 stars. Nothing bad. Just more than I like to pay for a wash each time when I need a regular wash. If you're really particular, you could always self wash at one of their stations. I'll be back of course and you could do a lot worse elsewhere. Give them a go.
